00:04 And today we're gonna be diving into the world of Sony's Spider-Man universe, talking about
00:08 Madame Webb and what we know about the film.
00:18 As usual, we're gonna be going over the cast, what we know, and some possible theories for
00:22 the film.
00:23 Madame Webb is currently set to release on February 16th, 2024 and is directed by S.J.
00:29 Clarkson.
00:30 As for the cast, we have Dakota Johnson confirmed to play the titular character, Madame Webb.
00:34 We also have Sydney Switty, Emma Roberts, Isabella Merced, Adam Scott, Celeste O'Connor,
00:40 Tahar Rahim, and Mike Epps.
00:41 I'm gonna give you guys a quick background about Madame Webb if you don't know anything
00:45 about the character.
00:46 Madame Webb, also known as Cassandra Webb, is one of the main characters from the Spider-Man
00:51 comic books, making her appearance in The Amazing Spider-Man #210.
00:55 Cassandra Webb is a paralyzed, blind mutant telepath and clairvoyant.
01:00 And in her debut, Spider-Man encounters the powerful precognitive mutant after pursuing
01:04 a lead about an advertisement for a medium.
01:06 And in the comic books from that point on, Madame Webb served as an oracle of sorts for
01:10 Spider-Man and Spider-Woman, giving them foresight of any potential threats.
01:14 Now, there has been a lot of leaks for this and fan theories circulating the internet.
01:19 So let's get into some of the photos really quickly and just talk about them, and then
01:23 we'll get over to the theories.

01:41 - Now, in these images from Sony and some of the leaks, we see the main cast here with
01:48 Dakota Johnson, as well as Sidney Sweeney and Isabella Merced.
01:52 Sidney Sweeney is expected to be playing Julia Carpenter, who is a Spider-Woman in the comic
01:56 books.
01:57 Now, I don't expect to see her in full costume in the film, but this does open up many doors
02:02 to see her and some other Spider-Women cross paths in the upcoming Sony films.
02:06 Now, one of the bigger leaks that we've been seeing around is a person that appears to
02:10 be in a dark Spider-Man suit.
02:12 There's a lot of theories going on that this could potentially be Kane Parker, who was
02:17 also a villain in the comic books.
02:19 Now, if you guys don't know about Kane Parker, he was introduced in Spider-Man 119 in 1994,
02:25 and he was one of Jackal's first failed attempt to clone Spider-Man, rendering him deformed
02:29 and mentally unstable.
02:31 His abilities are very similar to Peter's, with strength, speed, and his agility.
02:35 He also receives some precognitive powers as well, which show him flashes of the future
02:39 in a more amplified version of Peter's Spider-Sense.
02:42 Now, while I don't know exactly what this means for the film, it'd be pretty exciting
02:47 to see these two clash on screen and what possibilities this can open.
02:51 Now, that's all that we have today concerning Madame Web, since all the plot details of
02:55 the film are being kept really under wraps, and we don't know much more than that as
03:00 of right now in the recording of this video.
03:02 So as always, we'll just have to wait and see what happens, as well as the theories.
