With an area of about 13 million square kilometers, Siberia occupies three-quarters of all Russian territory and almost ten percent of the earth's surface. And if it were a separate country, Siberia would be the largest country based on its area. However, in terms of population density, Siberia is one of the least populated areas on earth, ranging from seven to eight people per square mile.
