Cristiano Ronaldo Celebrates with Al-Nassr Fans after His Late Penalty Saw Them Claim Vital 2-1 Win

Cristiano Ronaldo led Al-Nassr fans in a Viking Thunder Clap celebration on Friday after sealing a late winner for the Saudi side.

With the score level at 1-1 after 87 minutes, Ronaldo sent the keeper the wrong way and slotted an excellent penalty into the bottom left corner.

It was his 10th league goal of the season and confirmed a sixth straight win for Al-Nassr.

They are now two points behind leaders Al-Hilal - a remarkable turnaround from a side who lost their opening two games.

Ronaldo was ever the showman after the game, as he led players and fans in a celebration made famous by the Iceland side that reached the Euro 2016 quarter-finals.

He offered the camera a wink after the first clap as the away end joined him in celebrating an important three points.

For Al-Tai, the loss leaves them 12th after eight games, with just two wins and five losses already.

There were other former Premier League stars in action on Friday, with Al-Ittihad's N'Golo Kante starring in a 0-0 draw with Al-Fayha.

It was just the second time they had dropped points all season, with the absence of star striker Karim Benzema keenly felt.

The Frenchman scored in each of his last two starts but has missed Ittihad's last two games through injury.

Al-Hilal took advantage of Al-Ittihad slipping up, by going top of the table with a 2-0 win over Al-Shabab after goals from former Premier League pair Kalidou Koulibaly and Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Al-Nassr will next be in action against Abha on Friday, while Al-Ittihad hosts Al-Ahli on the same day.
