Warrnambool's Hillary and Emma Hannagan speak to The Standard after a successful Australian Youth Volleyball Championships campaign in Bendigo.

00:00 Hilary, Emma, you've just come back from Youth Volleyball Championships.

00:05 Can you just tell me how happy are you with your results and what you guys were able to achieve with your teams?

00:11 I was really happy with my bronze medal.

00:14 After five days of competing, it's really tough on that last final day and to win that with my team was amazing.

00:24 I couldn't have asked for a nicer group of girls and I was really happy with how I played personally.

00:30 So yeah, happy overall.

00:33 Yeah, so my team, we got fourth, which is tough.

00:38 Losing the bronze is always tough, but we had such a solid tournament.

00:44 We started off a bit rough, but we got so much better and we took it to the teams that ended up winning the tournament and came second.

00:53 So we are really proud.

00:55 We just couldn't bring it in the bronze medal match, but we still played.

01:00 We still did the best we could, so have to be happy with that.

01:04 Emma, you followed up with a gold at club championships.

01:07 What was that like as well?

01:08 That was really good to play with my home club, which is Basin Bendigo.

01:13 It's a regional club and to win that with them was amazing.

01:17 You said you're now turning your attention to the beach volleyball season.

01:23 Are you excited to get stuck into that?

01:24 Is it a different side to the volleyball compared to indoor?

01:31 Yeah, can't wait for beach season.

01:33 It's different to indoor and I love everything about it.

01:38 It starts up in a couple of weeks now, so really can't wait for that.

01:43 I'm so excited, especially with the weather turning and getting so nice.

01:49 We love the beach season and it's coming up really quick now.

01:56 Trials for Vic in a couple of weeks, so definitely turning our attentions to that.
