00:00 Jörg Lederach and his Christian school LIND are under pressure.
00:03 An SRF documentary casts great shadows on the name.
00:07 The Christian school LIND, formerly known as Domino Survive, is under fire.
00:13 Jörg Lederach, a prominent chocolatier and co-founder of the school, is accused of
00:20 breeding students with a belt.
00:22 Lederach is not aware of his guilt and vehemently disputes the allegations.
00:27 Together with fellow travellers, Jörg Lederach took over the Hofoberkirche in Kaltbrunn in 1995.
00:36 There they founded a free church and a Christian private school with boarding school.
00:41 The students were to be raised in the name of the Trinity.
00:46 This is still in the statutes of the school currently visited by 48 children.
00:53 Despite rumours about alleged breeding, the district office of the canton of St. Gallen
00:58 could not find any evidence.
01:01 Jörg Raschle from the education department remembers SRF, "They all had doubts, but
01:07 they were never caught."
01:10 Even prayer rituals were preached.
01:13 About two and a half years ago, the SRF team began research for the Christian school LIND.
01:19 Former students reported their experiences.
01:23 A report that was commissioned by the school confirms many of these statements.
01:31 All kinds of beatings, beating rituals and even sexual abuse are mentioned.
01:37 Anita H., a former student, says, "Everyone knew that children were beaten."
01:43 This was also preached.
01:46 Several former students claim that Jörg Lederach had bred fellow students with his belt.
01:53 Joel W., another former student, reports to the television station, "You had to bend over
01:59 the bed, let your pants down and then there were beatings."
02:02 Lederach denies and threatens.
02:05 Jörg Lederach denies the accusations in a notarially-believed statement as "humiliating".
02:11 He wrote, "He never beat students or abused them."
02:19 Accordingly, he is very sorry for these events.
02:21 Some former students at the school doubt this statement.
02:27 Opposite SRF says a former student, "They apologize for something they allegedly
02:33 didn't see.
02:35 But they don't apologize for doing it.
02:39 And they took part, each and every one of them."
02:43 Further, the chocolate factory threatens to face legal consequences for people who
02:49 make such claims.
02:50 An incident, which is mentioned in the film, was even shown by Lederach in advance.
02:56 No investigation so far.
02:59 The St. Galler Department of Education is reporting on the heavy accusations raised
03:05 by the police against a Christian school in Kaltbrunn SG.
03:09 The situation was blocked for data protection reasons, the authorities wrote to the press
03:16 agency Kiestone SDR.
