The 51st edition of the Campaign for Real Ale's (CAMRA) Good Beer Guide has been released, featuring a foreword by Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson.

This latest edition focuses solely on the quality of cask-conditioned or real ales, cider, and perry, with entries chosen by local CAMRA branches. These volunteers visit eligible pubs throughout the year to assess the beer's quality. Dickinson, known as the lead singer of heavy metal legends Iron Maiden, provides a foreword highlighting the cultural significance of British pubs. He emphasises the need to preserve their heritage, charm, and welcoming atmosphere.

This edition of the guide showcases 82 new breweries but also notes the closure of 142 others. Additionally, it lists 910 newly-featured pubs. CAMRA national executive member Ben Wilkinson expressed concern over pub closures and the need to protect historic pubs. CAMRA chairman Nik Antona called for support to keep pubs and breweries thriving during challenging times.
