00:00 I think he's got kind of, you know, somewhat of a bad rep.
00:02 The guy that I've seen in the locker room has been awesome.
00:05 The team camaraderie, you know, teaching the young guys,
00:07 you know, how to do certain things,
00:09 'cause he's seen it all before.
00:10 - I'm Robert Lundberg, joined by Baltimore Ravens tight end,
00:13 Mark Andrews, who's here on behalf of Rockin' Protein,
00:16 his go-to protein drink,
00:18 which we're gonna get to in just a second, of course, Mark.
00:20 And you know, you play tight end,
00:22 but you seem like a fairly low-key guy,
00:24 maybe unlike some other tight ends
00:27 out there in the news right now.
00:29 Has Travis Kelsey made tight end
00:31 the most glamorous position in all of sports?
00:34 - You know, first, Robin, thank you for having me on.
00:36 I think, you know, right now he's bringing a lot of buzz,
00:38 man, when you have an incredible tight end like Trav,
00:41 and then obviously, Elvite in his game,
00:43 and, you know, finding a girl like Taylor Swift,
00:45 it's gonna create a lot of buzz.
00:47 I'm excited for him.
00:48 I'm excited he got a touchdown,
00:50 could show off a little bit.
00:51 - You were cheering for him at home?
00:53 - You gotta root for him, man.
00:55 You gotta root for that situation
00:56 and everything he's going through,
00:57 and it's been cool to watch,
00:59 and yeah, I think it's been fun.
01:02 - Have guys in the locker room been talking about that?
01:04 - Yeah, I think there's, I think at this point,
01:06 it's like, who is not talking about,
01:08 you know, Trav and Taylor Swift?
01:09 So yeah, I think that's,
01:11 I think it's kind of like a whole world type of thing.
01:14 Everyone's talking about them,
01:15 and there's a lot of buzz, so it's been cool.
01:18 - All right, now, when you are talking about tight ends,
01:20 Travis Kelsey's one of those guys
01:22 who gets mentioned in that GOAT debate.
01:23 Who's the greatest tight end of all time in your mind?
01:26 - Yeah, I think Trav's gotta be, you know,
01:28 obviously mentioned in that.
01:29 I think, you know, I have so much respect
01:30 for him and his game and what he's able to do
01:32 year after year after year and make plays.
01:35 It's just been incredible.
01:36 I think Gronkowski's gotta be up there.
01:39 You know, what he's been able to do is just, you know,
01:41 a tear, you know, when he got into the league.
01:43 So those are my two guys.
01:45 - You're not that far away from being the all-time
01:49 receiving yards leader in Baltimore Ravens history.
01:51 Is that something that you've thought about
01:54 and are aiming for?
01:55 - Yeah, you know, I think when you start, you know,
01:58 surpassing some of these all-time Ravens records,
02:00 like, you know, yearly receiving records
02:03 and stuff like that, you start to think about,
02:05 you know, how cool it is, you know,
02:06 'cause you play this game and you're able to, you know,
02:10 etch and stone, you know,
02:11 something that's been there for a while,
02:12 especially a Ravens organization.
02:15 There's been a lot of great players.
02:16 So to be able to have that, you know, feat
02:19 and to be able to do that would be incredible.
02:21 At the end of the day, I'm just looking to win games,
02:23 help this team win games and looking forward,
02:26 just taking each week at a time and not looking too far ahead.
02:29 - How about the guy throwing you the ball, Lamar Jackson,
02:32 where would you assess, you know, with your eyes,
02:34 where he's at in this new offense and what he could be?
02:37 - He looks great, man.
02:38 He's been so focused.
02:39 You could see it from training camp.
02:41 You know, I think, you know,
02:42 just with everything being done, his deal being done,
02:45 you know, he's able to focus on what matters
02:47 and he's taken to the heart, you know,
02:49 he's really, you know, dove down and learned the offense,
02:53 being able to take command of the offense
02:54 and help lead us guys.
02:56 'Cause when you have a guy like Lamar back there,
02:58 you know, anything is possible.
02:59 You're able to do so many different things.
03:01 He's able to extend plays,
03:02 he's able to put the ball in the money,
03:03 you know, 50, 70 yards down the field,
03:05 doesn't matter because he's special.
03:07 And he sees the game really well.
03:09 You know, I don't think there's a lot of people
03:10 or quarterbacks in the league that can, you know,
03:12 have the vision and just the awareness
03:14 and the anticipation that Lamar has.
03:17 - You know, the receiving corps
03:19 dealt with some injury yourself too, Odell included in that,
03:22 but a new teammate of yours,
03:23 is there something about Odell people don't know?
03:26 - I think he's got kind of, you know,
03:27 somewhat of a bad rep, you know,
03:28 and the guy that I've seen in the locker room
03:31 has been awesome for our locker room,
03:33 the team camaraderie, getting guys around,
03:36 you know, teaching the young guys, you know,
03:37 how to do certain things, 'cause he's seen it all before.
03:40 And yeah, he's just been a joy to have in the locker room.
03:43 He's incredibly skilled.
03:45 You know, this is the best, you know,
03:47 I think that he's ever felt, you know,
03:49 and he's playing really good football.
03:50 So I'm excited for him to get back out there,
03:52 make some big plays.
03:53 And, you know, I'm just thankful
03:55 to be able to have him in our locker room,
03:56 'cause he's been really good for us.
03:58 - You guys have the Browns coming up next.
04:00 Their defense has been great to start the season.
04:02 Can fantasy owners be comfortable starting you?
04:04 - You know, obviously, you know,
04:05 we got a big task this week and, you know,
04:08 the Browns, you know, defense have been, you know,
04:10 doing their thing, but at the end of the day,
04:12 we're gonna be able to go out there,
04:14 you know, play some good football, fight.
04:15 You know, that's what I always like to do
04:17 is go out there and work hard, you know,
04:19 try to beat the man, you know, across from me
04:21 and nothing changes there.
04:23 - All right, tell us about your partnership
04:25 with Rockin' Protein and why that's your go-to drink then.
04:27 - Yeah, so I've got an incredible partnership
04:30 with Rockin' Protein.
04:31 It's my go-to protein drink.
04:33 You know, one of the reasons I love it so much
04:35 is 'cause it tastes so good.
04:36 It doesn't have that chalky, you know,
04:38 kind of bad aftertaste to it.
04:40 You know, I think that one of the best things
04:41 is that I drink it, it's got 30 grams of protein.
04:44 It's high protein, it's got low carbs, no added sugar.
04:48 And, you know, being a type one diabetic,
04:50 that's big for me, putting good things in your body,
04:52 making sure it's healthy and pure.
04:55 And so I use it, you know, before workouts,
04:57 after workouts, any time of day.
04:59 We actually made a video for it with our partnership
05:03 and it's on my Instagram.
05:04 If you wanna go check out my Instagram,
05:05 it's @mandrews, M-A-N-D-R-E-W-S, Mandrews.
05:09 So go check it out.
05:10 We had a good time shooting
05:11 and just showing you the partnership.
05:14 - Mark, appreciate the time.
05:16 Good luck the rest of the season.
05:17 - Thank you, thank you for having me on.
