00:00 Savannah Chrisley is mourning the loss of her ex-fiancee, following news that Nick Cordelius
00:06 died in a motorcycle crash in Nashville on Saturday morning.
00:10 The 26-year-old took to her Instagram to share a photo of the two kissing with a text that
00:14 read quote, "I'm still hoping you respond to my text."
00:18 Savannah later shared another snap of the pair and wrote quote, "Heaven gained the most
00:22 beautiful angel.
00:23 I'll forever save our last messages of 'I love you.'
00:26 We loved hard and I can't wait to ride bikes along the beaches of heaven with you one day."
00:32 The Nashville Police Department confirmed to WKRN that the former pro hockey player
00:36 was riding his motorcycle in a residential area when he traveled through a stop sign
00:41 and hit a BMW SUV.
00:43 Nick was then transported to a hospital shortly before he was pronounced dead.
00:47 Law enforcement also told the local news station that there were no signs of impairment on
00:51 behalf of either driver.
00:54 Savannah and Nick first started dating back in 2017 and got engaged in 2019, but in 2020
00:59 they called off their wedding.
01:01 Following their split, Savannah's mom, Julie Chrisley, told Axes Hollywood that the exes
01:05 were quote, "in a great place" during an interview back in 2021.
01:09 Over the summer, your daughter canceled her upcoming wedding and later split with her
01:14 fiance Nick.
01:16 Were you surprised?
01:17 I don't know that I was surprised.
01:22 I think it took a lot of courage to do it because she, again, this wasn't just playing
01:27 out in our lives, but everybody knows it.
01:32 And you know, we love Nick.
01:33 He is a part of our family and Savannah are in a great place right now.
01:38 And you know, I have learned to never say never, but I support her in whatever decision
01:44 that she makes.
01:46 And if she ever had a doubt, I'm glad that she decided to take a step back to truly figure
01:53 things out.
01:54 And you know what, it's much easier to do it now than 10 years down the road when you're
01:58 married and have children.
02:00 So I applaud her for that because I think so many times we get wrapped up in what we're
02:06 supposed to do and what things are supposed to be.
02:09 And we don't just stop and give ourselves a minute to say, okay, well, maybe I need
02:14 to, you know, maybe I need to look at this or focus on this or just step back a minute.
