Lapa is one of Lisbon's most affluent and popular neighborhoods, known for its elegant architecture, verdant gardens, and vibrant nightlife. It is located on the west side of the city, between the Estrela and Santos neighborhoods, and is bordered by the Tagus River to the south. Lapa is home to many of Lisbon's most important cultural institutions, including the National Museum of Ancient Art, the Museum of Decorative Arts, and the São Carlos National Theater. It is also a popular destination for shopping, dining, and socializing.
