00:00 Now, you know, golf has been a proper game in the past.

00:03 You say some people are hesitant when it comes to social media.

00:07 You've made some fashion statements on the golf course.

00:09 What do you make to reaction to your attire?

00:12 You know, it's really interesting.

00:13 So I was a gymnast before I switched into golf.

00:16 And so I was so comfortable wearing spandex,

00:19 and very little of it, because that's just

00:21 what you wear when you're wearing a leotard

00:23 and you're competing.

00:24 And so when I switched into golf,

00:27 we were struggling a little bit financially.

00:28 And so I didn't have the luxury to go out and buy a whole new

00:32 golf-appropriate wardrobe.

00:34 And so I wore what was in my closet, which was workout

00:38 clothes.

00:38 And that's just how I learned to play the game.

00:41 And I consider myself an athlete.

00:43 I consider people who play golf, which is a hot take to some,

00:46 athletes who play golf.

00:48 Why don't we dress like athletes?

00:49 You know, they're out there, poor Lucas Glover,

00:52 in these non-breathable pants, sweating like crazy.

00:56 And I'm like, let's dress like athletes.

00:58 And so that was always my mindset when I got into golf.

01:01 And it really rubs people the wrong way, which is shocking.

01:05 Shocking.

01:06 But I mean, they'll have really intense discussions

01:10 over if they should wear shorts or pants or a blade

01:12 collar or a real collar.

01:14 And I'm out here just in tank tops and spandex.

01:16 And people are like, what are you doing?

01:18 But I love it.

01:18 And I think we're starting to see that change.

01:20 And fashion is such a big part of growing the game.

01:23 And it's moving in the right direction.

01:26 That actually makes a lot of sense, because golf attire,

01:28 to me, would be--

01:29 I don't even know if I'd ever wear it.

01:31 You know, like country club or brunch or something.

01:33 Not to actually play sports, where I'd wear basketball

01:35 shorts and a jersey.

01:37 Yeah.

01:37 I mean, you want to be comfortable.

01:39 And again, a lot of people don't have the luxury

01:41 to go out and buy a whole new golf wardrobe.

01:44 You know, you have to get specific shoes and slacks

01:47 and the right polos.

01:48 And sometimes you don't have that.

01:50 And so to be able to find something in your closet

01:53 and then go out to a public golf course,

01:55 I think that is more than acceptable.

01:57 And a lot of people are now starting to agree with me.

01:59 It's been a long eight years of trying to convince people.

02:01 Yeah.

02:02 But we're getting there.

02:03 I go to the range now, and I see women out there

02:05 with leggings and tank tops.

02:06 So you're welcome to all the guys out there.

02:08 And we're all comfortable now, which I think is just good.
