00:03 today from Leeds-based professional services firm Turner & Townsend, which has announced
00:09 that its turnover has breached the £1 billion mark for the first time. The firm has published
00:15 its annual review, which detailed what managing director Patricia Moore has described as "excellent
00:21 financial results", showing an increase in global turnover up from £884 million last
00:27 year to £1.2 billion this year, which shows an increase of 38.6%. Turner & Townsend also
00:35 saw its global net revenue reach £1.1 billion, which is an increase of 37%. In the UK, the
00:43 firm saw its revenue increase by 25.6% over the past year, reaching £404 million. Employee
00:52 numbers also rose to 4,206, which shows an increase of 17%. Outside the UK, the firm
01:02 cited a number of regional hotspots, including the Americas, where revenue grew 58.5% and
01:09 employee numbers rose over 50%. The firm also cited Australia and New Zealand, which saw
