00:00 It's that time of year again when all the great British Bake Off fans out there, all over the world, get really excited.

00:09 Because today, the 12 contestants for this year's series have been revealed ahead of next week's first episode on Tuesday next week.

00:19 I'm so excited. Who am I backing? I've got to go for anybody that's got a Yorkshire connection.

00:27 So we've got Abby, who now lives in Cumbria, but was brought up in Yorkshire.

00:31 She grows and delivers vegetables. And we've got Rowan, who's a student from West Yorkshire.

00:37 But anyway, all the best for all 12 contestants, because five years ago it was my turn in the tent.

00:45 And my life has developed and gone on all sorts of wonderful directions since then.

00:51 And culminating, I have to give it a plug, in my new book that I've just written. Oops!
