00:16 Cameron Grimes announced her pregnancy earlier this month on August 5th. She and her fiancé,
00:27 Brock Powell, are expecting their first child together, who is due in December.
00:31 She shared some adorable Polaroids with her bump on her Instagram and wrote,
00:35 "Guess you can add mother to my resume." Grimes and her now-fiancé started dating in 2018
00:41 and in 2022, Powell finally popped the question. In fact, they were actually preparing and planning
00:46 for their wedding when they surprised all of us with their pregnancy. But we weren't the only
00:50 ones who were surprised because even they were as surprised. When Cameron Grimes found out she was
00:55 pregnant, it was like a total curveball because she and her fiancé weren't exactly planning on
01:00 diving into parenthood just yet, you know? In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Grimes said,
01:05 "We weren't trying but we weren't not trying. It's like they were toe-dipping in the pool of
01:09 parenthood and then bam." So, here's how it went down. Grimes was texting with her bestie,
01:15 who was also pregnant. She casually mentioned that she might be pregnant but wasn't ready to
01:20 pee on a stick just yet. She said in the interview, "I was texting with my best friend who
01:24 is pregnant and told her that there was a slight possibility that I could be pregnant but that I
01:28 was five days away from when I should take a test. She was like, 'Well, why don't you just wake up in
01:32 the morning and take a test anyway?' Taking that sweet advice from her bestie was definitely the
01:37 right one. She said, 'So I did and I was shocked that it was immediately positive.' But when the
01:42 test came out positive, Cameron's inner secret keeper malfunctioned. Cameron had this grand plan
01:48 to creatively break the news to Brock, but that flew right out the window as soon as she saw that
01:52 little plus sign. She just couldn't hold her excitement anymore. "So I put the pregnancy test
01:57 on Brock's chest and nudged him awake. He just looked at it and asked, 'Really?' And I said,
02:02 'Yeah.' And then he quickly got up and was like, 'Oh my God!' It was a very happy surprise and
02:08 we're thrilled. It was definitely the best surprise for sure." Now, let's talk about that
02:13 baby foster announcement that had fans speculating like detectives on a daytime drama. Some folks
02:18 thought it hinted at a boy on the way, but hold your horses, folks! Cameron and Brock actually
02:23 know the gender but are playing it cool, keeping it hush-hush for now. As for the surname, they're
02:28 getting creative. They've decided to roll with Foster, which just happens to be Brock's middle
02:33 name. Even though they were planning to do their I-dose in 2024, don't worry because that is still
02:38 going to happen. Since the baby is due in December, it will be even more perfect. She is totally
02:44 stoked for her baby to see their wedding. "We get to have our kid at our wedding," she said.
02:49 "They're looking forward to having their little one be a part of their big day, regardless of
02:52 whether it happens before or after the wedding bells ring. I never cared which came first so
