00:00 This news is all we ever wanted. NSYNC is releasing their first new music in two decades.
00:07 The band's new song "Better Place" was announced on September 13th when fans caught a snippet of
00:13 the track in the trailer for the upcoming film "Trolls Band Together." Prior to the announcement,
00:19 fans knew something was up when the guys shared this clip, which uses audio from a classic episode
00:25 of the sitcom "Friends" where Joey and Rachel know a secret, but both refuse to tell.
00:32 "Do you know something? Do you know something?
00:33 I might know something. I might know something too. What's the thing you know? Oh no, I can't
00:40 tell you until you tell me what you know. I can't tell you what I know. Well then I can't tell you
00:42 what I know. Okay fine." The music news comes on the heels of the band's reunion on stage at the MTV
00:49 Video Music Awards. Justin Timberlake, JC Chazze, Lance Bass, Chris Kirkpatrick, and Joey Fatone
00:57 hit the stage together to hand out the award for Best Pop. And when winner Taylor Swift took to
01:03 the stage to accept the honor, she accurately predicted that something more was coming from
01:09 the guys, asking, "Like, are you doing something? What's going to happen now? They're going to do
01:14 something and I need to know what it is." The guys later decided to go tearing up our hearts
01:20 again when they gave us this elevator shot. Justin Timberlake posted with the caption,
01:25 "So five guys walk into an elevator." And even Will Smith enters the chat, taking to the comments
01:31 section to say what we were all thinking, writing, "Y'all better be making music in that elevator."
01:37 Millennials know NSYNC was one of the biggest boy bands ever when they broke out in the late 90s.
01:43 The group released a total of four albums before disbanding and saying bye-bye-bye in 2007. The
01:50 group famously reunited in 2018 when they received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame,
01:56 but it looks like the guys are now picking up where they left off.
02:03 (upbeat music)
