00:00 24 reporter Luke Schrager with more from Marrakesh.
00:05 As Morocco moves into the sixth day since its deadly earthquake, hope is fading that
00:10 any survivors caught in collapsed buildings may be found.
00:14 Even international rescue workers have found no indication of anyone left alive so far.
00:19 While air pockets can ensure people could survive under rubble, the prevalence of traditional
00:23 mud-brick buildings across the quake zone means far less likelihood of such spaces to
00:27 have been created.
00:29 So hampering proceedings are what is starting to look like a slow and inadequate response.
00:34 Some on international rescue teams have told us of issues with coordination, leaving them
00:38 to drive and in some cases hike long distances over difficult terrain to reach isolated settlements,
00:45 only to find previous teams have already been through leaving no work to be done beyond
00:48 the recovery of bodies.
00:50 There's even been talk in one team we spoke to of returning home, and it's to this frustration
00:55 that inhabitants of these villages are adding their own confusion as to why little aid seems
01:00 to be coming their way and what there is comes in with local volunteers.
01:04 There's been much talk of a ticking clock to find survivors of the quake, and now it
01:08 seems another has started up, one ticking for the fate of the now homeless and facing
01:13 a cold winter in the Atlas Mountains.
