00:07 Are there any anecdotes that you can provide
00:09 just talking about the impact of your foundation?
00:12 - We got to unveil this super cool bus
00:17 a couple of years ago
00:19 that now like goes around the Oakland community
00:22 and provides like fresh produce, fresh meals, books,
00:26 a safe place to play.
00:28 It has a basketball hoop on it.
00:30 And I remember when we launched,
00:32 I was like, okay, the kids are coming here today,
00:37 but there's this hoop.
00:39 Like we have all these books and there's this hoop
00:42 and the kids aren't gonna be interested in the books.
00:45 Like how are we gonna get the kids to the books?
00:47 Like all they're gonna wanna do is hoop with Stephen
00:49 which is great 'cause I want them to play
00:50 but at the same time I want them to read.
00:52 So like, what are we gonna do?
00:55 We unveiled the library and all of the kids ran.
00:59 They ran straight to the books and we told them,
01:02 you know, you can take as many books as you want home.
01:05 They were so excited.
01:07 Kids were asking if they could take books
01:08 for their siblings and they were like in tears really.
01:13 And it made me cry 'cause I was like, oh my gosh,
01:18 like, no, these kids have, you know, a lust for learning
01:22 and an excitement for reading
01:24 and it really does just come down to the access
01:27 to having these materials to read.
01:30 And so for me, it was like really eyeopening
01:33 and touching to see that it was,
01:35 made me really happy and grateful that we had the platform
01:40 to be able to provide the resources for the kids,
01:43 but also made me realize that we have a lot of work to do
01:46 to, you know, amplify what we are doing on that bus.
