Staff bound by cable ties during service station robbery near Adelaide

Police say three men entered a service station on Port Wakefield Highway in Adelaide's north at about 1am, with one man stealing cash and cigarettes.

00:09 Police say three men entered a service station armed with a crowbar and stole cash and cigarettes.

00:15 They also restrained staff members with cable tires while they tried to break open a safe

00:20 using a concrete cutter.

00:22 About an hour later members of the public arrived and disturbed the suspects who took

00:26 off in a grey Holden sedan.

00:28 They were last seen travelling south on the Port Wakefield Highway.

00:31 Investigators have attended the scene and police are asking anyone with information
