First EV Based on STLA Medium Platform Debuts with 435 Miles Range, New Peugeot E-3008 2024

This is the first EV in Stellantis' portfolio based on the new STLA Medium platform.

The third-generation Peugeot 3008 has been officially introduced by the French automaker seven years after the previous version was launched in Europe, opening a new chapter for the brand's best-selling model in terms of electric powertrains and interior technology.

First shown in all-electric guise and known as the E-3008 (mild hybrid powertrains will follow later), the all-new C-segment crossover is the first production model based on the STLA Medium platform developed by Stellantis. The group, which owns Peugeot, will offer it in two trim levels, Allure and GT, with three option packages and three electric powertrain options.

Three Zero-Emission Powertrain Options
The first variant of the Motivation consists of a 400-volt nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) 73 kilowatt-hour (net) battery pack and a front-mounted permanent synchronous electric motor producing 210 horsepower (157 kilowatts) and 253 pound-hours. feet (343 Newton-meters) of torque, while its estimated driving range is 326 miles (525 km) on a full charge.

Finally, there's a long-range version with a larger 98 kWh (net) battery pack and a front-mounted electric motor producing 230 hp (170 kW) and 253 lb-ft (343 Nm) of torque, providing maximum range. 435 miles (700 km) on a full charge. There is no dual motor option for this battery size.

Charging and Vehicle Loading (V2L)
Speaking of charging, the third-generation electric 3008 features a charging port located on the left rear fender, allowing users to top up the battery via AC or DC. For AC charging, the standard onboard charger can accept up to 11 kW of power from a three-phase source; An optional 22 kW three-phase unit is also available.

On the DC front, the new E-3008 can accept up to 160 kW of power from a compatible stall, allowing the standard battery to be charged from 20 percent state of charge (SoC) to 80 percent in 30 minutes and in less than 30 minutes.

Measuring 178 inches (454 centimeters) long, 74 inches (189 cm) wide and 64 inches (164 cm) tall, the all-electric crossover bears the brand's well-known three-claw light signature on both the front and rear. There is an enlarged logo on the closed grille and smaller headlights positioned between the hood and frameless grille.

Inside, the main talking point of the new Peugeot E-3008 is the huge i-Cockpit 21-inch curved widescreen display located above the instrument cluster, which acts as both a digital instrument cluster and infotainment screen.

The trunk volume of the Peugeot E-3008 is 470 liters in the four-wheel drive version and 520 liters in the front-wheel drive version, and there are a total of 17 different storage compartments distributed throughout the interior, reaching a total of 34 liters.
