North west news update 8 Sept 2023: 10-year-old boy dies after electric shock

00:04 A 10-year-old boy has sadly died after receiving a high voltage electric shock at Tiffany's Hotel

00:11 in Blackpool on Thursday evening. Police confirmed the news that this Thursday evening he had sadly

00:19 passed away with his family by his bedside. It has also been revealed that terror suspect

00:26 and prison escapee Daniel Khalif, who escaped from prison nearly 48 hours ago, has links to

00:32 the North West. The 21-year-old clung to the underside of a delivery lorry to make his escape

00:38 from HMP Wandsworth on Wednesday morning and there have been no confirmed sightings of him since.

00:44 An elderly man from Wigan has escaped without serious injury despite sliding 18 feet down an

00:52 embankment and sparking a major 999 call-out. Police, ambulance, two fire engines and the Fire

00:59 Service Technical Rescue Unit were all mobilised to a break between Browning Grove and Martland
