00:03 It's the first time we're all together in our 50s.
00:09 You see our photo, so you feel that you know us.
00:13 When you come together with your chosen family,
00:16 I think that's emotional.
00:19 There's something about that shared history that we have.
00:24 I feel blessed that we're here today.
00:28 We've all gone through so many things in our own lives.
00:31 Cindy, Linda, Kristy, and Naomi are still redefining
00:38 what it means to be a model.
00:40 There was a feeling about them that they wanted more.
00:46 I was not seen as a person who had
00:49 a voice in her own destiny.
00:52 He said you should lose five pounds.
00:54 I got scared I didn't belong.
00:56 But Linda's a chameleon.
00:58 She could really become whatever the photographer
01:01 wanted her to become.
01:02 I would do all these great shows,
01:04 wear all these beautiful dresses,
01:06 but then it would come time for the advertising,
01:08 and I would not be included.
01:10 I wasn't going to be bullied for the color of my skin.
01:12 What I loved about the girls, they were a group.
01:15 And that was so fabulous.
01:18 We were always together, and we made great photos together.
01:21 You know, I just felt like to be together as a group,
01:23 it just was so fun.
01:25 They were my sisters.
01:27 We get this phone call that George Michael
01:29 wants to shoot us in his video.
01:30 We made a decision, I will do it.
01:32 I'm going to do it.
01:33 Yes, OK, I'll do it.
01:35 Everything changed.
01:37 You can start to call the shots and be an active participant
01:40 in your career.
01:41 All of a sudden, we were the physical representations
01:44 of power.
01:45 I wanted to go further.
01:46 I wanted to push the envelope.
01:49 They brought their artistry to the image.
01:51 They would see things we didn't necessarily see.
01:54 They're like the Mona Lisa, the face of her era.
01:57 They're larger than life.
01:59 We helped break down barriers.
02:01 I have to think of something greater than myself.
02:04 When I first was referred to as a supermodel,
02:06 I was like, why are they calling us this?
02:09 It wasn't about the hair and the makeup.
02:12 It wasn't about the fashion.
02:14 It was about the women.
02:15 That's what a supermodel is.
