00:00 Senator Robin Padilla was called to release a senior citizen who was imprisoned after he was mistakenly wanted by Interpol as a member of Abu Sayyaf.
00:10 His family is angry that there are irregularities in the arrest. Tina Panganiban Perez is the one who is being targeted.
00:16 This is Muhammad Said, alias Ama Maas, a member of Abu Sayyaf who was first arrested under a sham warrant.
00:26 But this is Muhammad Said who was helped in Muntinlupa.
00:30 A father who is a senior citizen and was traveling to Malaysia on August 10.
00:35 But he was caught in the act because of a hit on Interpol.
00:38 We are more concerned with the picture of the wanted Muhammad alias Ama Maas on the left and the father on the right.
00:49 You are the one who will judge if he is a human being. It is really far.
00:55 He called for a privileged speech to release father Muhammad, who has a certification from the NBI that he has no derogatory record during 2018 and 2019.
01:06 Father did not go to the Philippines where the crime of holding a wanted member of Abu Sayyaf, who was long gone, was not committed.
01:14 From 2001 to October 2011, father was in Saudi Arabia. But the alleged crime of holding Ama Maas was committed on July 2011.
01:32 In 2016, the news came out that Ama Maas was already killed in the encounter.
01:41 Father Muhammad is still in prison and he is being interrogated according to his son.
01:46 We want to go to jail. Of course, it's not our father's fault. Why is his name still on Interpol?
01:53 It's okay if our father is a suspect. But he's not.
01:57 The family also questioned why the information on the warrant was not complete when the father was first arrested in 2018.
02:05 The information was given to his father.
02:09 When they got my father's passport, they filled in the file of the suspect, which they put my father's middle name, who is my father's parent, and where he's from.
02:23 Who do you think is the doctor?
02:26 Of course, it's immigration.
02:28 We have no way of editing or adding to it.
02:31 The previous passport number matches the one on the Interpol red notice.
02:39 It's showing up because of all the details that have been included. The record we got is complete.
02:46 Did the picture match?
02:49 On the Interpol record, there's a small picture that is pixelated. Since all the other details match, we forwarded the case to the appropriate local law enforcement agency.
03:02 It's not just the father who can have the name "Wanted". That's why the Bureau of Immigration...
03:08 ...get a certificate of not the same person from the Bureau of Immigration. That's what they're getting from our main office.
03:15 In a press release, the Bureau of Immigration Commissioner Norman Tancinko said that his father was held in custody because of the Interpol red notice issued in 2017,
03:27 a year after Senator Padilla accused him of the time when Amamaas died.
03:33 They have no power to arrest a Filipino, but if there's a hit, they are being prosecuted.
03:41 We are working hard to get the NBI to give a statement.
03:45 For GMA Integrated News, Tina Panganiban Perez, Nakatotok, 24 Hours.
