00:00 (upbeat music)
00:01 These are my three favorite sneaker spots to shop at NYC.
00:04 Let's go.
00:05 (upbeat music)
00:07 This is Stadium Goods.
00:11 One of the most extensive sneaker stores in the city.
00:15 It's really a cool consignment shop.
00:17 You wanna sell sneakers?
00:18 This is where you come.
00:19 Let's go in and check it out.
00:21 There's so many shoes here.
00:25 Probably every single Air Force One
00:27 that you could ever even imagine.
00:30 Reason why I come to Stadium Goods,
00:32 most boutiques don't have the amount
00:34 of sneakers that they have.
00:36 You see here, there's over 2000 pairs,
00:39 literally suffocating both walls.
00:41 I gotta show you this trophy case.
00:44 There's literally over $200,000 worth
00:48 of sneakers in this case.
00:51 You cannot find these shoes just anywhere.
00:53 You have to come to Stadium Goods to get them.
00:55 There's stuff in this case,
00:57 you can't even really buy.
00:58 These Michigan Wolverines over here,
01:00 only 250 pairs made.
01:02 They were only given to all the staff
01:03 and the players of the team.
01:05 These SCAR Air Force Ones,
01:07 they were made for a local pizzeria shop.
01:09 There are only 48 pairs made, allegedly.
01:12 You can only really find those in New York.
01:14 I cannot believe they have these.
01:17 Those are the Marty McFly's.
01:19 They were auctioned off as charity
01:21 and there are only 1500 pairs made.
01:23 I'm pretty sure you've seen them
01:24 in Back to the Future many times.
01:26 I've always wanted these shoes as a kid.
01:28 Can I afford them now?
01:29 No, because they're $35,000.
01:32 If you wanna get a pair,
01:33 you're gonna have to come to Stadium Goods to get them.
01:35 Every shoe in here is owned by someone.
01:40 All brand new shoes that are consigned.
01:42 Stadium Goods keeps really good care of their sneakers.
01:46 They do a heat wrap for every shoe.
01:48 So even if it's like down to the last pair,
01:50 you still know for a fact
01:52 that you're getting a fresh, brand new pair of shoes.
01:55 Everything's so well kept, so organized.
01:58 You come in here feeling like you're not all over the place.
02:01 There's just different sections around the store
02:03 where you can just gravitate towards
02:05 and even understand and learn new shoes
02:08 as you come along into the store, all the way into the back.
02:11 Spot number two, let's get it.
02:13 This is Extra Butter.
02:18 All the locals in the neighborhood
02:19 on the Lower East Side come here.
02:21 This is where you wanna get all types of shoes
02:23 that you're really not familiar with.
02:25 Everyone inside is super friendly.
02:26 Let's go see if my guy Justin's here.
02:28 - Hey, what's up, buddy? - Hey, what's up, Ralph?
02:30 - Dude, it's like super cinematic in here.
02:32 Tell me a little bit more about this.
02:34 - So basically when you're shopping for sneakers,
02:36 you're shopping for experience.
02:37 So these are actually functioning curtains,
02:39 just like in a regular movie theater,
02:40 preparing everything.
02:41 Actual old seating for movie theaters.
02:43 We do premiere movies.
02:45 - Wow, that's cool.
02:46 - It depends on certain nights, certain releases.
02:48 If there's a shoe that comes out that has a backstory.
02:50 For the Skyline release, creative director Bernie,
02:53 he had reached out to,
02:55 I believe it was like an orphanage group.
02:56 - So cool.
02:57 - They basically, all the kids got free sneakers
02:59 and they got to watch the documentary
03:00 about Skyline, the sneaker.
03:01 It was a Jordan 1.
03:02 - Gifted them?
03:03 - Yeah, they gave them all for free.
03:04 A regular shoe release,
03:04 you're gonna have a line outside, gates, barricades.
03:07 We try to keep it where everybody's communicating.
03:10 (upbeat music)
03:12 We're not the average sneaker store.
03:14 A lot of the brands we have, they're from overseas.
03:17 - Well, what about your locals?
03:18 Do they come here and get street wear all the time?
03:20 - Oh, 100%.
03:20 We have a lot of people that go out in the neighborhood.
03:22 You get all your skaters, you get all your models coming in.
03:25 There's a lot of events that go down here.
03:27 Late night, you get everybody,
03:28 I need a fit for the night.
03:29 So they come in extra butter, shoes, pants,
03:31 you just grab something and go.
03:32 If we can give you a better experience,
03:34 you're gonna come back.
03:35 You don't have to come to shop,
03:36 but you can come and just show love.
03:38 - Speaking of the experience, can I check the candy out?
03:41 - Yeah, we have.
03:42 This is basically giving you that concession stand feeling.
03:45 You go to the movie theaters, you get your popcorn,
03:47 you get your snacks.
03:48 For here, it's like, while the mom's shopping,
03:50 kids come in, get candy.
03:52 But it's also just 'cause it's different.
03:54 Like, you never went to a store and you're like,
03:56 I want a snack.
03:57 - Exactly.
03:58 You normally come to the store, get what you want,
04:00 but here at Extra Butter, it feels so neighborhood oriented.
04:04 There's like a welcoming feeling as soon as you walk in.
04:06 And obviously I'm having a good time
04:08 'cause I'm tearing up all the candy here.
04:11 Extra Butter also has a location in Queens
04:13 that's worth a visit on its own.
04:15 They've got a dope speakeasy, more screens and sick merch.
04:19 Let's go check out the setup
04:20 and catch up with my guy, Bernie.
04:22 - Welcome to the infamous.
04:26 - Yo, wow.
04:29 Now that is an entrance.
04:31 Who wouldn't wanna walk into a sneaker boutique
04:35 and start right at the bar?
04:36 (upbeat music)
04:39 (upbeat music)
04:42 - Spot number three, let's go.
04:52 This is Legacy.
04:56 You can get some really rare finds here.
04:58 It's also just one block away
05:00 from New York's iconic historic garment district.
05:03 So when you're done here, you can hit up some amazing shops.
05:06 And did I mention we're right across the street
05:08 from the Empire State Building?
05:10 Shoes, clothes, iconic New York City.
05:13 That's what it's all about.
05:14 - Yo, what's up, Justin?
05:18 How are you, bro?
05:18 - Good, good to see you.
05:19 - Take me to the heat, man.
05:20 - Got you, this is our vault right here.
05:22 All the most expensive pairs in a store,
05:23 the most exclusive pairs.
05:25 Everything's going in here.
05:26 - Whoa, are these the OGs?
05:28 - Yes, sir, 1985, Chicago ones.
05:30 - I was born in '85.
05:32 - You gotta check them out.
05:33 - These were the first pair of shoes
05:36 that I ever owned Nike whatsoever.
05:39 They were $85 back then.
05:41 And my mom was like, "You're not getting these shoes."
05:43 We were so broke.
05:45 She put them on layaway.
05:46 I didn't get them for four weeks later,
05:48 but it was so worth it.
05:49 The best shoe that I've ever had as a kid.
05:52 So these are cool.
05:53 Tell me a little bit more about these.
05:55 - It's just one of the most iconic pairs.
05:56 I mean, if you look at that shoe just from 1985,
06:00 it's almost 40 years old.
06:01 There's no cracking on it.
06:02 There's no yellowing on it.
06:03 You can see the aging on it
06:05 without any kind of discolorment.
06:06 So the value of that pair alone,
06:08 we have it at $25,000 in here.
06:10 - $85 to $25,000.
06:13 This will not be bought by me,
06:15 but these are just the most iconic pairs of sneakers.
06:19 You have almost every Travis Scott.
06:22 - Yes, sir.
06:23 - The Louis Vuitton Nike collab too.
06:25 These were really exclusive
06:28 and probably not even gonna make these anymore.
06:30 So it's wild that you guys even own
06:32 almost every piece of the collection that came out.
06:35 This gold pair right here is probably what, 7, 8K?
06:38 - Yeah, depending on the size,
06:40 the bigger the size, the more expensive they get.
06:41 You gotta be a VIP at Louis Vuitton.
06:43 You gotta be a big spender to get the call
06:45 for the opportunity to buy a pair of those.
06:47 - You even have these.
06:48 Like I know for a fact, these are a Sotheby's exclusive.
06:52 - And we got that pair in store right now at $120,000.
06:54 - $120,000.
06:57 Wow.
06:58 - With 100 pairs in the world,
06:59 your chances of owning that shoe is very, very slim.
07:01 - I mean, you're right.
07:02 The clientele that I normally work with
07:04 are celebs and athletes.
07:06 And these are the types of exclusive things
07:09 that they wanna own and purchase
07:11 'cause no one else can really get their hands on.
07:13 Tell me a little bit more about these.
07:15 I've actually never seen these before.
07:18 - That was a friends and family pair made for Will Smith
07:20 that was to commemorate anniversary of Fresh Prince.
07:23 - Wow.
07:24 - And if you remember in the introduction of Fresh Prince,
07:26 when Will was spinning upside down in the chair,
07:28 he had no shoelaces in the shoe.
07:29 So they released that shoe for customers to buy
07:32 and everything.
07:33 And then this was an exclusive that Jordan Brand did
07:35 and made for Will Smith.
07:36 - Now this is a story all about, I love it.
07:40 - Very exclusive pair right there.
07:41 - So with everything you've shown me,
07:44 what do you think the total value is of all of this?
07:46 - Probably a half a million dollars in there.
07:47 - Half a million dollars in sneakers.
07:51 And this case is like a 10th of what's in the store.
07:54 - A lot of people that come in here
07:56 like to get an outfit.
07:57 - That's cool.
07:58 - So you come in here and it's very colorful.
08:00 It's very vibrant.
08:01 Towards the back, you got clothing mixed in
08:03 with all the sneaker walls.
08:04 Babe, we got Drake, a certified lover boy collaborations.
08:07 We've got his collaboration right now with Nike
08:09 and the soccer teams.
08:10 Drew house, you got Spider, you got Bait,
08:13 you got Chrome Hearts, you got Antisocial.
08:15 We have a huge Antisocial social club.
08:17 - I think I saw a little bit of Supreme too.
08:19 - Yep, you got Supreme back there.
08:21 Fear of God Essentials.
08:22 That's another one of our staples in here.
08:23 And we're the only sneaker consignment shop in the world
08:26 that has a contract with Mitchell & Ness.
08:28 - The last thing that really separates us,
08:29 we have a mini spa.
08:31 - A spa.
08:32 - You can go back there.
08:33 - In a sneaker store.
08:34 - Threading, facials, waxing.
08:36 So again, we get a lot of moms that come in here
08:38 and it's like, get all the beauty stuff.
08:39 - And then they come back out
08:40 and the kids already ran up the credit card
08:42 and they're ready to go.
08:43 That's what's up.
08:44 Thanks so much for your time, bro.
08:45 I really appreciate the run through.
08:47 So that was just a few of my favorite spots
08:51 in New York City.
08:52 Let me know where you shop for sneakers
08:54 right here below in the comments.
