The James Webb Telescope Just Gave Us the Highest Detailed Look at One of the Closest Supernovas Ever Discovered
  • 8 months ago
When a star dies it goes supernova, sending out massive amounts of light and debris. And back in 1987 astronomers captured an image of one named SN 1987A as it was in that process, showing the bright light and cloud of stellar dust being pushed out into the cosmos. Now the James Webb Space Telescope has given us an even better view.
