Carlos Alcaraz continue tranquillement la défense de son titre à l'US Open."Carlitos" est d'ores et déjà assuré de perdre son trône après l'US Open, car Djokovic a gagné son premier tour. L'Espagnol reste néanmoins surmotivé à l'idée d'aller chercher un troisième titre du Grand Chelem après l'US Open 2022 et Wimbledon 2023. Alcaraz n'avait joué qu'une petite heure mardi soir contre Dominik Koepfer, contraint d'abandonner. Ce jeudi, il a pu jouer trois sets et s'est tout de même baladé contre Lloyd Harris, 6-3, 6-1, 7-6(4). Une belle démonstration de force malgré quelques difficultés dans la troisième manche. Pour une place en huitième, il affrontera samedi soir Dan Evans.
