A 38-year-old former clerical assistant of the Melaka Islamic Religious Department (JAIM) was charged at the Melaka Sessions Court on Wednesday (Aug 30) with four counts of cheating involving about RM154,000 relating to emoluments.

for a jail term of between one and ten years and whipping upon conviction.

Judge Elsa Batbaya won granted bail of RM10,000 and ordered the accused to report to the MACC
