For over a thousand years, the ancient Greeks held the Olympic Games. In the nineteenth century, there were a few attempts to revive the Games. Then in 1894, the International Olympic Committee was organized with the first modern Olympic Games being held two years later.

00:24 They can return famous to their whole nation, and sometimes

00:31 Sometimes, though, an athlete is already famous

00:41 Princess Anne of Great Britain is the daughter
00:46 of Queen Elizabeth II, and is currently
00:49 16th in line for the throne.
00:50 Back in the '70s, when she was fourth in line,
00:56 she was an equestrian, and was the first British royal
00:59 to compete at the Olympics.

01:06 appeared at the 1976 Olympics in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
01:11 Unfortunately, she did not win any medals.
01:14 Her daughter, Zara, however, won a silver medal

02:03 these stars already had many fans before winning the gold in 1992.
