'Inside the NBA' host Charles Barkley joined SI Media With Jimmy Traina and explained why he's tired of talking about his relationship with fellow NBA legend Michael Jordan.

00:19 And then two times a year I have to defend. I was like, yo man,

00:29 But like, dude, we're not like Prince Harry and Prince William.

00:32 We're not taking shots and by backdoor channels all the time.

00:36 Michael's doing great. And I'm doing great.

00:38 You know, it's funny cause I,

00:39 I wasn't going to ask you about it cause I figured you're sick of,

00:42 I even wrote down like, are you sick of talking about Jordan?

00:45 But since we're talking about it, I only had one question.

00:47 It really doesn't have to do with the fallout.

00:48 What I find fascinating about it is do you guys never bump into each other at

00:52 functions and events or anything?

00:54 I would think you would see him at least three,

00:56 four times a year at NBA functions and be golf this day. I mean,

00:59 how do you never bump into each other? And then just say, Hey, let's,

01:02 enough of this shit. Let's, let's move on.

01:04 You know, that's a great question because

01:07 I think we've actually only bumped not,

01:12 we never got face to face or close enough,

01:15 but I think we've actually only been in the same room like three times in the

01:20 last 25 years. That's crazy. Like, um, we,

01:25 we were in New York at the same hotel for something one time.

01:28 And then, uh, at the, um, hall of fame one year,

01:34 he had to introduce somebody on stage.

01:36 I had to introduce somebody on stage.

01:37 And I think the third time was at that 75th anniversary thing.

01:43 And we never got within 25 feet of each other,

01:48 but it is, it is. But, but you know, we don't,

01:52 we don't go to a lot of NBA functions.

01:55 Like I don't go to NBA games for the simple reason I had my day.

01:59 Right. I don't want to take away from today's players. When, when,

02:03 when fans go to the game today,

02:05 they should see the guys who play for the Phoenix signs and 76ers.

02:10 Like every now and then when they're retiring, somebody Jersey or some,

02:13 I'll make an appearance, but I don't go to NBA games. I had my day.

02:18 I don't want people saying, Oh, that's Charles Barker. That's Charles Barker.

02:21 I had my day when I went, when they go to a game, I said, Hey,

02:24 there's Devin Booker. Hey, there's Kevin Durant.

02:28 I want the fans to notice those guys. I don't want to take away.

02:31 So that's why I never go to NBA games.
