00:00 He's amazing. He's just a good person and he knows what he's doing. He's got his hands full and he makes all of his acts feel like they're his only act.
00:07 Scooter has been by Ariana's side for her entire singing career, but today comes a bombshell report that she's leaving the music mogul after 10 years together.
00:16 Headlines claiming they've split started to swirl just as news broke that two of his other superstar clients, Demi Lovato and Idina Menzel, have dropped the music mogul.
00:25 A source tells Access, quote, "Demi and SB Projects have mutually and amicably parted ways."
00:31 As for Idina, a source close to the Tony-winning star tells The Hollywood Reporter she split with Scooter in January.
00:37 Rumors have also surfaced the client Scooter is most associated with, Justin Bieber, has also left him.
00:43 But a music industry source tells Access Scooter's stepping into a larger role and that, quote, "Scooter's team at SB Projects are still handling both Justin and Ariana as they work through what this new structure looks like."
00:56 But it hasn't stopped speculation there's an ominous underlying reason Scooter's biggest stars are dropping him.
01:02 If Ariana and Scooter have indeed parted ways, the timing is interesting. Her first album, Yours Truly, celebrates its 10th anniversary next week.
01:10 Ariana announced on Instagram she's celebrating the milestone with a week's worth of special releases, including newly recorded live performances.
01:18 Ariana and Scooter's relationship has survived an explosive falling out. In 2018, Scooter revealed she briefly fired him.
01:27 In an interview with Fast Company, he hinted it was due to her involvement with a boyfriend, which he didn't name.
01:33 Scooter, who has a reported net worth of $600 million, got his big break in 2008 when he discovered Justin on YouTube. He's been there for him in both the good and bad times.
01:42 It would be awful if I didn't worry. He's going through normal teenage stuff.
01:46 In recent years, Scooter's reputation has been marred by his long-running feud with Taylor Swift, which began after he acquired the rights to all of Taylor's music in a move she called a "betrayal."
01:56 She's addressed the riff many times, including in an interview with CBS in 2019.
02:01 Which brings us to Scooter Braun.
02:03 And so you didn't see it coming?
02:06 No.
02:08 Now, could you re-record?
02:10 Oh, yeah.
02:11 That's a plan?
02:12 Yeah, absolutely.
02:13 Well, Scooter doesn't seem too worried about anything today, tweeting, "Breaking news. I'm no longer managing myself."
02:21 Pretty good sense of humor about it.
02:23 (upbeat music)
