00:08 Tammy showcased a range of flavors, including some Southern fare and a hearty Italian dish.

00:13 In her caption, she shared that while she's mindful of her diet, she still loves making

00:16 food for her loved ones, writing, "Even though I can't eat much, doesn't mean my family

00:21 should need good. And I'm finally able to show off my cooking skills. Just call me Chef

00:25 TT or Chef Tam Tam lol." Tammy's dinner snaps received lots of comments, including some

00:30 from fans who said her cooking reminded them of home. One wrote, "You had me with a picture

00:34 of the green bean potatoes and salt pork. My mama made them better than anyone, but

00:38 I must say, yours look delicious, just like she made them." And another chimed in, "OMG,

00:43 you're the only other person who makes chicken and dumplings like my family does. So good."

00:47 Tammy's meals also got a thumbs up from Dr. Eric Smith, her bariatric surgeon on Thousand

00:51 Pound Sisters. He commented, "Looks great. I think you might need to bring some of that

00:55 for us to try at the office." The 37-year-old reality star and her sister Amy Slayton have

01:00 documented their personal lives and weight loss journeys on TLC's Thousand Pound Sisters

01:05 for four seasons. On the most recent season, Tammy underwent bariatric surgery. Back in

01:10 June, she told People magazine about the procedure and her progress since, sharing, "I wised

01:15 up and got my surgery. I was able to make my lungs strong enough to get my tracheostomy

01:19 tube for breathing out. And then recently, the doctor cleared me to be off my oxygen

01:22 machine during the daytime." She added, "I'm feeling great. I'm thankful to be alive, and

01:27 it's fun to be progressing as much as I am." Thousand Pound Sisters viewers saw this past

01:31 season how Tammy worked hard to meet her goals to qualify for the surgery. The moment she

01:35 told Dr. Eric her progress, and he gave her the initial approval for the surgery, was

01:39 an emotional one.

01:40 "I guess the big question that I want to know is, where's our way?"

01:46 "Are you sure you want to?"

01:48 "I do want to know."

01:50 "It's under 550."

01:53 "Really?"

01:54 "Yes. 534."

01:55 "Wow, that is awesome."

01:56 "Don't cry now."

01:57 "You left me speechless, and that usually doesn't happen. Well, that's great."

02:14 "When I first met Tammy, she was way far away from ever getting here. And I'm just really

02:20 excited for her that she's finally got to this point where she did this. I didn't do

02:26 anything. She did."

02:27 "That is awesome, Tammy. I mean, I can't tell you how happy that makes me."

02:35 "Now, don't you cry either."

02:41 "I like the fact that Dr. Smith is proud of me. Honestly, without him, I couldn't do this.

02:47 I wouldn't be here. I mean, he is, after all, the doctor to help find this place and sign

02:56 the paperwork for me to come here. But I mean, I feel like I do owe him my life."

03:04 "All right. Well, that means you've met our big goal of getting below 550. So here's where

03:13 we are now. We need to get you back down to my office. We need to get you in with the

03:18 cardiologist, the pulmonologist, our hematologist, because you have a history of blood clots

03:23 as well. We need to make sure that we've got everything in the best shape possible for

03:28 you to tolerate surgery. You've done the things I've asked you to do to qualify for surgery.

03:34 So we need to get you down and arrange all those appointments. We'll take care of all

03:38 that stuff, get you in with those physicians. And if they say it's OK, Tammy, you're getting

03:45 your surgery."

03:46 "Bitches. I got approved for surgery."

03:55 "Even though that's not the final approval, no matter what, I'm extremely proud of myself.
