00:03 - I think Casey, most people would want to know
00:06 in terms of how things are benefited
00:08 and taxing is just a huge part state by state,
00:12 the amount of revenue that the states make on taxes.
00:14 I think it gets lost in the shuffle a little bit
00:17 when we're talking about this,
00:18 the benefits to the states and what they can actually do
00:21 with being able to tax sports betting.
00:23 And I would like to know your opinion
00:25 as to how you think that has worked here in 2023 as well.
00:29 - Well, gaming has always been one of the highest tax
00:33 in industries in the country.
00:36 And so it's not surprising that as we migrate more bettors
00:39 away from the illegal market
00:41 and into the protections of the legal one
00:42 that we're seeing increased revenue
00:44 that drives increased tax revenue.
00:46 Now through the first half,
00:47 gaming tax revenue alone has been over $7 billion
00:52 has been contributed across the country.
00:54 And so that doesn't even include income tax and sales tax
00:57 and all the other business tax implications
00:59 that affect all the sports book operators.
01:02 And so, we are strong community partners
01:05 and we're strong contributors to the tax coffers
01:08 everywhere we operate.
