00:00 Being on the cover of SI goes back to my childhood
00:02 and seeing all the great athletes on the cover.
00:05 A lot of athletes that I've watched
00:07 for my whole entire life,
00:09 that I've looked up to and had a lot of admiration for.
00:12 So to be that figure for the next generation,
00:16 coming into this time, this season,
00:18 it's an exciting thing.
00:20 I put a couple of different professional athletes
00:22 on my wall as a kid,
00:23 and I have a very meaningful wall back home in my room.
00:27 And I tell my mom never to take it down
00:29 because I know it'll be beautiful in the end
00:31 when it's all said and done.
00:33 I've had Bryce Harper, who's a guy in this city,
00:37 when I had baseball dreams,
00:39 he was a guy that I always followed
00:41 and had a lot of respect for.
00:43 Cam Newton, Mike Vick, McNabb, Johnny Manziel,
00:48 Pat Peay, all these guys were on the cover.
00:51 And a lot of them I've been able to compete against now.
00:53 So it's been a journey.
00:56 I know it's a steep price you have to pay
00:59 to have the opportunities.
01:01 I'm talking about the work you put in
01:02 and determination you have
01:04 and character you have to have,
01:06 buoyancy you have to have, all of those things.
