00:03 - If you guys remember the idea behind the big guns market
00:08 is that the FedEx kind of playoff events
00:12 have all been won in large part by top 25 golfers
00:19 and over half of them have been won by top five golfers.
00:24 Lucas Glover had snapped that streak.
00:26 So the big guns market was the top four,
00:30 Scotty Scheffler, Rory McIlroy,
00:32 John Rahm and Patrick Cantlay.
00:35 And I did say, if you wanna make sure
00:36 that you have the entire top five,
00:38 you do need to put a separate bet on Victor Hovland.
00:42 And I am sure there are people Donnie,
00:44 who said, all right, I'll bet the big guns,
00:47 didn't bet Victor Hovland,
00:49 and then all of a sudden, boom, there you go,
00:51 a big gun win, but the big guns didn't win,
00:55 Victor Hovland, absolutely brilliant on a Sunday,
00:58 sets a course record going nine under,
01:01 shoots a 61 here to win the BMW championship.
01:06 - And as coming through, as you were explaining it now,
01:08 like even though we talked about the big guns,
01:09 I still don't know who's in the actual big guns.
01:11 So good for the clarification by you that Victor Hovland
01:14 was not in with the big guns, but my goodness,
01:16 a back nine to remember yesterday.
01:18 And also what's the joke out here?
01:19 Scotty Scheffler is even with Hovland
01:21 with a few holes to go, he's like, you know what?
01:23 I'm out of this, I'm out of this thing.
01:25 So good luck, Victor, and I don't win these tournaments.
01:27 I just want to push it on to next week.
01:30 - Is someone going to end up like unveiling something
01:32 where Scotty Scheffler is like,
01:35 there's a prank at play here.
01:37 Like what's the story here?
01:38 That this guy can't seal the deal.
01:40 And I know it's like, oh, well, what did you want him to do?
01:42 Victor Hovland went out there and shot at nine under.
01:44 Well, Scotty had the lead, man.
01:47 Scotty had the lead.
01:48 He ends up giving you a bogey on 17,
01:52 force a playoff.
01:53 I don't know, is that unfair?
01:55 It feels so bizarre, like criticizing Scotty Scheffler's game
02:00 when he's still one of the most automatic golfers
02:02 in the world.
02:03 But how do none of these tournaments
02:06 end with him winning the tournament?
02:08 - Look, he's a seasoned professional.
02:10 Here's a nice little story I want to break down for you.
02:12 In localized golfing communities here,
02:15 handicap is everything.
02:16 But the key component is, let's just say
02:18 you're playing a match with another country club, right?
02:21 You want to keep your handicap as high as possible.
02:23 So that's stupid.
02:24 Like you want to be like, hey man, I'm a two handicap.
02:26 I'm a three handicap.
02:27 No, here's what they do, Kevin.
02:28 They play seven holes.
02:29 They close the guy out.
02:30 They double bogey the last two holes.
02:32 So they go from a four handicap to an eight handicap
02:34 and get extra relief on their next match.
02:36 I don't know, maybe Scotty Scheffler's doing like,
02:38 hey, you know what?
02:39 I'm too good right now.
02:40 I got to throw a couple holes to throw people off the scent.
02:42 'Cause when I'm really to make my score,
02:44 people are like, where did he come from?
02:45 How did he have a handicap of 11
02:47 when he just went three under par?
02:49 I don't know, Scotty.
02:50 That's the only explanation I have.
