00:00 The US Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are assisting
00:07 in the investigation into the Elmina plane crash in Sialem last Thursday, which claimed
00:13 the lives of 10 people.
00:15 "Representatives from NTSB, FAA and aircraft manufacturer Beechcraft arrived at the crash
00:22 site this morning and are inspecting it by flying drones and physically assessing the
00:27 wreck," the New Straits Times reported.
00:30 A Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia spokesman has confirmed that the US investigators are
00:36 assisting the local authorities.
00:38 Meanwhile, a Singaporean air accident investigation team is also currently assisting in retrieving
00:44 data from the cockpit voice recorder of the aircraft.
00:48 Transport Minister Luk Siew Fook said that Singapore's Technical Transport Safety Bureau
00:53 had successfully extracted the memory puck from the aircraft's black box on Saturday.
00:58 Luk said the memory puck which was removed from the black box has been found to be in
01:03 good condition.
01:05 He also said the CVR has been sent to a lab in Singapore yesterday to retrieve the last
01:10 30 minutes of the voice recording data.
