00:46 agreement negotiations.
00:48 This was discussed when the ambassador of Germany assigned to the Philippines had a
00:52 courtesy call on President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. in Malacanang.
00:57 Just recently, the EU Commission President announced the relaunching of the Philippine
01:01 EU free trade negotiations.
01:04 The Germany envoy stressed the importance of strong economic relations between the two
01:08 countries.
01:09 As for the President, good relations between the two countries is key in global growth
01:14 and economic stability.
01:16 The large number of Filipinos working in Germany is also proof of this friendship.
01:21 The thriving people-to-people connection between the Philippines and Germany was also discussed.
01:26 There is a big Filipino population in European Union.
01:29 It was also agreed in the meeting that the Philippines and Germany will focus more on
01:33 the climate issue.
01:35 According to President Marcos, climate change is a global issue and needs an all hands on
01:40 deck approach to solve it.
01:42 Agriculture, trade and investment, technology, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges are
01:47 sought by both the Philippines and Iran.

01:53 According to President Marcos, the existing memorandum of understanding between the two
01:57 countries will be the basis for cooperation on matters such as nanotechnology programs,

02:06 The Iranian Ambassador said there is a possibility they will ship fertilizers and fruits to the

02:13 Aside from trade and investment, the Philippines and Japan will deepen cooperation on security

02:28 The president acknowledged Japan's help in maintaining peace in Southeast Asia and neighboring
