Singer Sam Smith broke down in tears live on stage as they recalled “challenging moments” from their career.

The star was left in tears during their recent performance in Montreal after they stepped foot on stage. Sam shared the clip, filmed by Mike Chaar, on their Instagram page, explaining how much the crowd’s reaction meant to them.

They said: “Last night made me feel a type of way I don’t think I’ve ever felt on stage. I’ve never felt so much love or heard an applause like that for myself ever. It makes every hard and challenging moment so worth it.”
