00:00 Today we've got a multi-purpose event, we've got a normal track day going on giving people
00:05 with all different abilities the opportunity that they might not have to drive around the
00:10 track. We've also got a fun day going on where people can do various things and also some
00:19 motorsport displays as well.
00:21 The work that Speed of Sight do really, really appeal to us because they make unforgettable,
00:27 life-changing experiences a reality for kids and young people and adults of all ages. So
00:34 we've got a team of 20 volunteers here today who are mucking in and helping out, helping
00:40 the Speed of Sight team run everything.
00:44 Speed of Sight is a charity that was set up to give people the opportunity to drive. Mike,
00:52 who is the main man of the charity, is a multi-world record holder for speed, having never been
01:00 able to see a thing in his life. And him and John set the charity up to be able to give
01:10 that sensation of being able to do something that you might never get to do, or in some
01:15 cases where people have lost the opportunity to be able to drive, to get that experience
01:21 again.
01:22 It's been an absolutely amazing day, just seeing the emotional impact of the experiences
01:28 that these track events are having on these amazing young people. So we're really thrilled
01:33 to be involved and despite the best efforts of the British summer and it's rainy days,
01:40 we're all smiled and it's just an amazing event to be involved with.
01:45 Everybody so far has loved it. Everybody inevitably get out of the car with a smile on their face
01:54 and there's people that we know and it's not just the participants themselves, it's the
02:02 families as well. They enjoy watching it and seeing the participants being able to get
02:08 in the car to drive themselves.
