'Amazing' moment dance teacher and pupil discover they have won the same trophy almost a quarter of a century apart

Isabella Sloens, 11, and her dance teacher Helen Tate discuss the "amazing" moment they discovered they had won the same trophy 23 years apart.

00:28 Well I felt proud of myself knowing that my mum was proud of me as well and knowing that I had

00:35 to sing a song by myself I was very happy for myself that I did it and knew that I wasn't giving

00:43 up and I still sang the song. And how did you find out that your dance teacher had won the same

00:48 trophy 23 years ago? Well my mum found out first and recognised the name and I recognised the name

00:56 as well and so I took her to dancing just just in case to find out if it was or wasn't and it was.

01:03 And Helen, how does it feel for you knowing that Isabella's won the same trophy you did when you

01:07 were her age? Well to be honest at first I was quite gobsmacked but I'm unbelievably proud of

01:12 her I think she's done really well and just seems mad that it's been that many years to be honest

01:18 but it's good to know that she's done really well in her performing arts at school as well.
