00:00 Prince Harry's "His Royal Highness" title has been removed from the Royal Family website.
00:07 After the UK publication Express reveals on August 4th that the Duke of Sussex was still
00:13 referred to as "His Royal Highness" in two different areas, including on his profile
00:19 page, the website has officially been updated to exclude the title.
00:25 His mentions have since been replaced with his "Sussex" title, a name bestowed to
00:30 him when he wed Meghan Markle in 2018.
00:35 The update comes more than three years after Harry and Meghan announced that they would
00:40 take a step back as senior members of the Royal Family amid their move to North America.
00:47 At the time, Buckingham Palace announced that the couple, who shares kids Archie Harrison
00:53 and Lilibet Diana, would not use their "His or Her Royal Highness" titles moving forward,
00:59 as they are not working members of the Royal Family.
01:04 But Harry's title hiccup on the website wasn't the only information that was seemingly
01:08 outdated.
01:10 According to Express, Queen Elizabeth II, who died in September of 2022, was still referred
01:17 to as the current monarch.
01:20 Express also reports that King Charles and Queen Camilla, whose coronation took place
01:25 earlier this year, were also referred to by their older titles, Prince of Wales and the
01:31 Duchess of Cornwall.
01:34 In a statement shared to the publication, Buckingham Palace explains that the maintenance
01:39 of the Royal Family's website remains a work steadily in progress.
01:44 Adding quote, "The Royal Family website contains over 5,000 pages of information about
01:51 the life and work of the Royal Family.
01:54 Following the death of Her Late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, content has been revisited and
02:00 updated periodically.
02:02 Some content may be out of date until this process is complete."
02:07 Just a few weeks ago, Harry and Meghan made another royal exit.
02:12 Three years after stepping back as working members of the UK Royal Family, the pair gave
02:17 up Frogmore Cottage in Windsor.
02:20 We can confirm that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have vacated Frogmore Cottage.
02:26 Sir Michael Stevens, keeper of the Privy Purse, says at the annual Sovereign Grant Account
02:32 briefing on Royal Finances, Sky News reported on June 29th.
02:37 We will not be going into any detail on those arrangements here.
02:42 He added quote, "Safe to say that, as has previously been stated, the Duke and Duchess
02:48 have paid for the expenditure occurred by the Sovereign Grant in relation to the renovation
02:54 of Frogmore Cottage, thus leaving the Crown with a greatly enhanced asset."
