President of the Central Wimmera Tennis Association, Jeremy Quast, talks with Lucas Holmes about the upcoming summer of tennis in the region.

00:00 So Jeremy, it's approaching the summer tennis season.

00:03 How's it all going in terms of preparation so far?

00:05 Yeah, it's going well.

00:06 We had a meeting last week to decide dates

00:10 of when all teams have to be submitted.

00:13 And hopefully clubs are contacting all their players

00:16 and getting them all done.

00:18 Yeah, so we're trialling this season,

00:22 section or match play six and match play five.

00:25 They're gonna be on Friday nights

00:27 and they'll start on the 6th of October

00:29 and the 7th of October is when the rest

00:31 of the other competition starts.

00:33 And what was the main thoughts behind the change

00:35 to the Friday nights?

00:36 Yeah, we're running out of court space.

00:39 We're growing a lot and we need more tennis courts,

00:43 especially for the match play kids.

00:44 So to trial Friday night just opens up the court space

00:48 for Saturday morning juniors.
