00:07 history. At least four people have lost their lives and damaged a property that is estimated

00:12 to be over 500 million euros. According to the government, huge parts of the country

00:18 have been hit by the flooding.

00:19 "It is a pity that it is unimaginable. Practically two thirds of Slovenia is so badly affected

00:28 and the pressure is so high that we will be able to go back to normal life will be very

00:35 In neighbouring Austria, at least one victim has been reported. Two people fell into a

00:39 river off an eroded bank in Carinthia, but only one of them could be saved. Half of the

00:44 Carinthia region has been affected by flash floods since Friday, and emergency services

00:50 responded to numerous calls for rescue and evacuation.

00:54 Meanwhile, firefighters in the Pyrenees are tackling huge forest fires. In central western

01:00 Portugal, several villages had to be evacuated. Over the weekend, six people were reported

01:05 injured while 6,200 hectares of forest burned.

01:11 On the Spanish-French border near Portobelo, 130 people were evacuated due to approaching

01:17 fires. The blaze destroyed about 20 hectares in just three hours and spread rapidly. On

01:23 Sunday, firefighters reported they had the fire under control.
