A powerful earthquake of 5.5 magnitudes hit eastern China on Sunday. According to reports, the tremblor resulted in the injury of at least 20 people. As of now, no deaths have been reported. The magnitude 5.5 quake occurred near the city of Dezhou, which is about 300 kilometres south of the Chinese capital Beijing. According to the China Earthquake Networks Center or CENC, the earthquake occurred at 2:33 am local time. The CENC said that the quake, which occurred about 10km below the surface, struck Pingyuan County in Shandong province.
