00:00 Senator Grace Poe sounded the alarm on India's decision to bond the export of non-basmati
00:05 rice to help bring down persistent and rising domestic inflation.

00:14 announced two weeks ago on July 20 it was halting shipments of all types of rice except
00:20 for the non-basmati type, leaving the country having to look elsewhere for the jasmine and
00:25 milagrosa grains that could cost more in other countries.
00:29 This grain ban leaves the country having to fill out at least 10,000 metric tons in rice
00:33 supply shortfall that could have serious repercussions if this dirt is not covered soon.
