01:06 Why is this happening now?
01:07 What's your thoughts on that?
01:08 I think that it just wasn't,
01:10 it wasn't interesting to women.
01:11 You know, it was as interesting, you know,
01:13 as the way Nicki and Meg and others have,
01:16 it looks like, you know, it's awesome.
01:19 And it wasn't, I don't think it was as, you know,
01:21 I don't think they looked at it,
01:22 viewed it as something that they wanted to do
01:24 and actually make a living from it.
01:27 Right.
01:27 And it seems maybe the industry's
01:29 a little more open-minded.
01:31 Oh, definitely.

01:41 What are your thoughts on that
01:43 coming into the music industry?
01:44 Someone was, someone asked me about that recently.
01:47 And so, you know, I was,
01:48 they was trying to tell me, they was like,
01:49 you know, they got someone who can make your voice
01:52 and like, and say,
01:53 they think it sounds just like,
01:55 I was like, but,
01:55 I was like, but if it's not me,
01:57 what, it's like, if it's not going to,
01:59 they was like, but you know,
02:00 it could say something like,
02:02 but if it's not me,
02:05 I was like, I'm amazing.
02:07 Like, plain and simple.
02:08 That was the answer.

02:33 while former dancers and staff are saying it all adds up.

02:49 Lizzo is facing a lawsuit from three tour dancers
02:51 who are claiming they were subjected
02:53 to racial and religious discrimination
02:55 in a hostile work environment,
02:57 including being pressured to touch nude dancers
02:59 during a live sex show in Amsterdam,
03:02 even asking them to eat bananas
03:04 from the performers' vaginas.
03:05 Lizzo's former creative director stated,
03:08 "I'm not a part of the lawsuit,
03:09 "but this was very much my experience and my time there,"
03:12 with the former dancer applauding the other dancers
03:15 for bringing this to light.
03:16 A director that traveled with Lizzo for her documentary
03:19 stated, "I witnessed how arrogant, self-centered,
03:21 "and unkind she is."
03:23 The lawsuit also claims that Sherlene Quigley,
03:26 the captain of Lizzo's dance team,
03:28 forced her religious beliefs on the plaintiffs.
03:30 She posted this to social media.
03:32 - Hey, everybody, I just wanted to get on here
03:34 really quick and say, God is so, so good.
03:38 God loves you so, so, so, so, so, so much.
03:42 I had such an amazing time on tour with amazing people.
03:46 - And at Beyonce's Renaissance tour,
03:48 she normally mentions Lizzo's name,
03:50 but it was skipped after this news hit.
03:52 (audience laughing)
03:55 Who knows if that moment was related,
03:59 but this is all a lie.

04:03 And Lizzo isn't the only pop star with legal woes.
04:07 Dua Lipa's levitating legal drama continues.

04:17 - Producer Bosco Conti is taking Dua
04:19 and Warner Music to court
04:21 because he alleges they used his TalkBox recording
04:24 in remixes of "Levitating" without his permission.

04:30 ♪ Come on dance with me ♪
04:32 - In the lawsuit, Conti claims he made
04:33 the TalkBox recording for the original track,
04:36 but didn't agree to it being used in the remixes.
04:39 Conti's lawyer tells Billboard,
04:41 "Plaintiffs made numerous attempts
04:43 "to resolve this matter short of litigation,
04:45 "but such efforts were unsuccessful
04:47 "due to defendants' unwillingness to cooperate
04:49 "or accept responsibility for this blatant infringement
04:52 "of plaintiffs' copyrights."
04:54 A rep for Dua Lipa did not immediately return a request
04:57 for comment on Tuesday.
04:59 This isn't the first time Dua's been sued over the song.
05:02 A reggae band accused her of stealing the hook from them,
05:05 but would later drop the case.
05:06 Days later, songwriters claim Dua stole the melody
05:09 from two of their songs.
05:11 That case is still alive,
05:12 but Dua's team says she's never heard the songs before.
05:16 Don't worry, today's show does have some good news,

05:34 in Cincinnati last month,
05:35 Luda pledged to donate $50,000
05:37 to the Children's Theater of Cincinnati.
05:39 It was to help with the $48 million restoration campaign.
05:43 The rapper/actor told CINSEY's Local 12,
05:46 I'm drawn to the Children's Theater's project in Cincinnati
05:49 because of the plans to develop new works
05:51 that hit on the topics that matter to kids today.
05:54 And as a father of four daughters and a philanthropist
05:57 who's constantly investing in the next generation,
06:00 I'm honored to be a part of this.
06:02 Thanks in part to Luda's donation,
06:04 the campaign to restore the Emory Theater
06:06 has reached over 30 million of its $48 million goal.

06:25 Another word we say is sick all the time.
06:27 I don't know if people say it over here in Tennessee,
06:29 but we say everything's sick.
06:30 Sick is a good thing.
06:31 If I say you are a sick person,
06:32 man, just know that that's a compliment
06:34 from the bottom of my heart.
06:35 I say rad.
06:37 Everything's rad.
06:38 It's an old school term,
06:39 like a skateboarder term from the '80s probably,
06:41 but I think rad's making a comeback.
