00:11 The Bureau of Customs, Department of Agriculture, National Meat Inspection Service, AFP,
00:22 and Caloocan LGU have invaded the storage compound here in Caloocan.
00:26 No one was allowed to guard the area.
00:30 When the 540-footer refrigerated container vans were opened,
00:34 they were hit by the 70 tons of mixed pork, chicken, beef,
00:39 and other processed foods estimated to be worth P30 million.
00:44 According to the first investigation,
00:46 although frozen, unfit for human consumption,
00:50 or expired meat and other food products,
00:53 the BOC asked for permission to remove it from the area.
00:57 Based on the packing, I saw Chinese products.
01:03 According to the BOC,
01:04 when it's time to prove that the products were illegally imported,
01:08 they have prepared a smuggling case
01:10 and other cases under the National Security Food Act of the DA.
01:14 After 15 days, they will be given enough time to produce documents.
01:17 If these were legally imported,
01:19 if they were not given, then we will issue a warrant of seizure and detention
01:24 for future proceedings.
01:26 The BOC called on the public.
01:28 This is a national security concern.
01:31 We are the ultimate victims here.
01:33 That's why I'm calling on all of you.
01:37 If you have information about this kind of importation,
01:41 please tell your Bureau of Customs that it's ready to serve you.
