00:00 Movies have some of the most breathtaking sceneries you'd ever see, especially those
00:04 about interplanetary travels.
00:05 But you don't have to visit some imaginary planet when we've got some places here on
00:10 Earth that will leave you breathless.
00:12 Is it the world's highest sky corridor, waterfall walkway in China with impressive
00:17 night lighting, or mesmerizing Ruyi Bridge?
00:20 Maybe it'll be the crater of fire dubbed the "door to hell" that leaves your mouth
00:24 ajar in disbelief.
00:26 And this video will bring you 20 unbelievably fascinating places that, if weren't recorded,
00:32 you wouldn't believe existed.
00:33 So why don't you get your awesome-o-meters ready for these amazing places, and let's
00:38 dive into it.
00:40 20.
00:41 Guangdong's Highest Sky Corridor Waterfall
00:46 When it comes to larger-than-life sightseeing spots on the planet, you gotta visit Guangdong's
00:50 highest sky corridor waterfall walkway in China.
00:54 This giant, racket-like sky corridor located at the Huangtian Gorge in Hunyang is known
01:00 as the "Big Rackets" by tourists for obvious reasons.
01:04 The majestic sky corridor is built in such a way that it looks like two tennis rackets
01:08 positioned across a mountain.
01:11 Wanna know how tall the structure is?
01:13 It's as tall as a 166-story building.
01:17 It's a project that cost around 268 million yuan, an equivalent of about 40 million US
01:23 dollars.
01:24 Sure, all that money means the walkway would have state-of-the-art features, and boy does
01:28 it have it.
01:29 It's designed in a manner.
01:31 It was installed with 450 water nozzles and over 2,000 electric lights on the outermost
01:36 circular bridge that reacts to the music played.
01:39 And when you walk along the see-through platform of the sky corridor, you can hear the sound
01:44 of glass cracking.
01:46 Even worse, you could look down to see cracks appearing under your feet.
01:49 But not to worry, it's just one of those special effects of the bridge that sends chills down
01:53 the visitor's spines.
01:56 19.
01:59 Underwater Waterfall
02:03 Who wouldn't want to be like this guy, sitting on a plane as you watch how beautifully an
02:07 island gets sucked into an abyss?
02:09 First, this is the underwater waterfall off the coast of Lemorine in Mauritius.
02:15 And secondly, it's just one of the world's most spectacular illusions.
02:19 No island is getting sucked into a drain.
02:21 This dramatic scene you see is just the flow of underwater currents.
02:25 Once on the shore, you can also see the sand and silt illusion.
02:29 But for the best views, you'll have to hop onto a seaplane to explore the view from above.
02:35 18.
02:37 Niagara Falls
02:42 Those that know about the Niagara Falls would agree there's more to the waterfall than just
02:46 being the world's second tallest waterfall.
02:48 It's a breathtaking and romantic wonder that gushes over 3,160 tons of water per second,
02:54 amounting to about 700,000 gallons of water flowing down at around 100 miles per hour.
03:00 Although the story behind its formation is a bit foggy, many agree that the ice age shaped
03:05 these falls more than 12,000 years ago when the huge chunks broke off North America into
03:10 Lake Erie and left large cracks which started to fill up, creating what we see and adore
03:16 today.
03:17 But it's only when you get there that you'll realize that Niagara Falls comprises three
03:22 waterfalls.
03:23 There's the Bridal Veil Falls, the smallest, American Falls, and the majestic Horseshoe
03:28 Falls, all located on the border of Ontario Province, Canada.
03:32 Of course, such a beautiful mystery would attract daredevils who would like to perform
03:36 extreme stunts to marvel onlookers.
03:39 And the Niagara Falls has had some such people.
03:41 For example, in 1859, Charles Blondin did one of the most daring tightrope walks across
03:47 it wearing nothing but some pink tights.
03:50 And more recently, in 2012, Nick Wallenda became the first person to repeat the feat
03:56 in front of a live audience as well as millions who watched around the world.
04:01 Whether you're out looking for some extreme adventure or just want a sweet romantic getaway
04:05 for you and your loved ones, the Niagara Falls has got you covered.
04:10 17.
04:13 Ruyi Bridge At first glance, the Ruyi Bridge may come
04:19 off as a simulated location, which can only exist behind screens.
04:24 But take a trip to Xianzhu Valley in China's Zhejiang Province and you'll marvel at this
04:28 brilliant piece of architectural design.
04:31 As if having a weird looking structure isn't enough, the bridge is made of glass.
04:36 All of the material you could build a bridge with, and they opted for glass?
04:41 Why build a bridge people would be scared of?
04:43 Maybe if you aren't such a big baby like me, you'd be able to walk over the bridge.
04:47 I bet they have adult diaper changing rooms at either end.
04:50 Once on the mind-boggling bridge, which is 140 meters above a ravine, you'll enjoy the
04:56 best view of the surrounding colorful hills and valleys.
05:00 16.
05:03 Zhuoxuanxi Airport, Singapore Getting stuck in an airport for hours can
05:09 be a bit of a bummer, but sometimes it can be a blessing in disguise.
05:12 Especially when you happen to get stuck in an airport such as this.
05:16 Check out the scenes at this place.
05:18 Extraordinary!
05:19 No wonder the airport has won the world's best airport award more than 7 times.
05:24 The airport's lifestyle hub is second to none.
05:27 The Jewel Hub was opened to the general public in April 2019.
05:31 A massive donut-shaped building, which cost over $1.25 billion to construct, is located
05:37 between the control tower and Terminal 1.
05:41 The glass-part-steel structure has loads of amenities, but most notably, it has a rainforest
05:46 and the tallest indoor waterfall.
05:48 Can you top that?
05:50 It also has 5 underground stories and 5 above the ground.
05:54 The waterfall is a rain vortex.
05:56 A cascading funnel of water drops 7 stories through the core of the building.
06:01 The 130-feet-tall waterfall is sourced with rainwater that's recirculated throughout the
06:06 waterfall.
06:07 The waterfall also serves as a 3D canvas at night.
06:10 I wonder if they allow family vacations to the airport?
06:13 Seriously, you could come up to this airport, set up camp, and never leave.
06:18 Only that the authorities wouldn't allow it.
06:21 15.
06:22 Reynishara Beach, Iceland Water is wet, roses are red, and beaches usually
06:31 have gray sand, right?
06:33 Well, the Reysnirfara is unlike any other beach.
06:37 When other beaches agreed on having gray sand, this beach chose to give Mother Nature the
06:41 middle finger and became a unique black beach.
06:44 The picture-perfect and astonishing beach situated on the southern coast of Iceland,
06:49 closely to the country's capital, Reykjavik, is an unusual beach famed for its black-colored
06:54 sand.
06:55 It's undoubtedly one of the most unique and gorgeous beaches in the world.
06:59 Its black sand comes from lava flowing across the ocean, which then turns black as it cools
07:04 and hardens before suddenly breaking apart.
07:06 Did I mention the beach is near a large sleeping volcano?
07:09 Yep, it is.
07:11 But not to worry, the volcano remains refrigerated under ice.
07:15 As with soils surrounding volcanic places, the black sand is rich in volcanic materials,
07:20 pebbles, and stone.
07:21 There's more that meets the eye than its unique sand.
07:24 This beach has some awe-inspiring Kalmner-Balsa formations that you should totally check out.
07:31 14.
07:34 Munnar-Karala
07:38 Beautiful scenery doesn't have to be an exotic beach, a dazzling waterfall, or a stunning
07:43 bridge.
07:44 It can also be an entire town.
07:46 Say hello to Munnar.
07:48 A picturesque landscape with a refreshing lush green tea plantation, wonderful climate
07:52 with a whiff of a calm breeze, rich, abundant fauna and flora.
07:57 It's like a town that didn't age since its time in Middle Earth.
08:01 Munnar is a small town in the Aduki district, located in the western Ghats Mountains range
08:06 of southern India.
08:07 Its name Munnar means "three rivers" and this is because of the three rivers that meet there.
08:13 The town is noted for being the largest tea-growing area in the whole of South India.
08:18 Aside from growing tea, they have some ravishing flowers, with the wild Neelakaranchi orchids
08:23 being the most famous of the lot, a flower that only blossoms in 12 years.
08:28 In all, Munnar is a perfect tourist spot for lovers of nature and food.
08:34 13.
08:37 Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia
08:41 From one otherworldly landscape to another, the Salar de Uyuni is out of this world.
08:46 It's so out of this world it was used as one of the locations in filming Star Wars The
08:50 Last Jedi.
08:52 Not just that, it was also used in movies such as The Fall and Salt and Fire.
08:56 It has a very unique atmosphere which is a result of having its largest salt flat in
09:01 the world, spanning an incredible 10,000 square kilometers at about 3,656 meters above sea
09:08 level.
09:09 And all of that incredibly flat, salty surface means that it conjures up some amazing mirages.
09:14 Kind of transforms the whole area into a mirror, the largest mirror on the planet.
09:19 The reflections are so picture perfect that it makes it hard to discern the horizon.
09:24 This is definitely one strange yet awesome place to be.
09:27 Plus you don't have to pack a mirror when coming.
09:31 12.
09:33 Antelope Canyon
09:37 Before going any further, I'd like to put it out there that there are no antelopes on
09:41 this canyon, at least from the last time I checked.
09:44 So who named it that?
09:47 Never mind, let's just talk about the place.
09:50 Off the east of Page, on Navajo land, Arizona, lies the Antelope Canyon.
09:55 The canyon has a wavy structure that gives it a unique look and glorious light beams,
10:00 making it any photographer's dream.
10:03 The canyons were formed by floods and wind that eroded curved passages in the Navajo
10:08 sandstone.
10:09 It has two separate canyons, with the upper one being the easiest to access.
10:13 It also has the canyon you can take beautiful pictures in.
10:16 However, you can only visit as part of a guided tour, as the canyons still flood from time
10:22 to time.
10:23 You can see this canyon in movies like Broken Arrow and Samsara, but nothing beats seeing
10:28 it in real life.
10:31 11.
10:33 Cano Cristales River, Colombia
10:38 You know one of those places so unique that you need a plane, a boat, a car and then some
10:42 hiking to reach?
10:44 Yeah, the Cano Cristales is one such place.
10:48 Located in the remote area of Meta in Colombia, this fast-flowing river has brightly and abnormally
10:53 colored water.
10:55 They may call it a river, but it has more than that.
10:58 The waters include waterfalls, rapids, the river itself and a couple of pools.
11:03 During its peak season, this extraordinary river dons vivid colors like red, blue, black,
11:09 green and yellow.
11:10 The red color is a result of the river weed, Machinera clavera, which changes from green
11:15 to red when the water and sun conditions are at a certain level.
11:19 The other colors are just a combination of water, rocks and sand.
11:23 And if you've ever dreamt of fishing in a rainbow pool, well, let's just say you gotta
11:27 keep dreaming, because the Cano Cristales doesn't have any fish.
11:32 Rainbows would be jealous of this river.
11:36 10.
11:38 Patlion Lake
11:43 Located in the midst of some exquisite-looking red hills and lush green pasture, the Patlion
11:47 Lake is such a beauty to behold.
11:50 The fresh air and tranquility it offers are like no other.
11:53 If you're looking for a place to hike, explore nature and experience an all-around outdoor
11:58 experience then this is definitely a place for you.
12:01 The Platlon Lake is a relatively unexplored lake that guarantees a lifetime's adventure
12:06 and one you should visit.
12:08 One amazing fact about this lake is that it's only accessible in summers because of the
12:12 heavy snowfalls in winters, and is one of the most beautiful lakes in Rottigali National
12:17 Park of Pakistan, as it is wonderfully covered with red and blue flowerbeds on the lush green
12:23 mountains and along with its blue water color, it presents a scenery to behold.
12:27 And it also happens to be one of the longest lakes in the Neelum Valley.
12:31 When you visit the lake in June, you'll see the glaciers at a temperature of about 10
12:35 degrees Celsius, accompanied by new spring breezes that precede summer.
12:40 All within hills covered with snow most parts of the year and beautiful landscapes.
12:44 It is definitely a place for every outdoor person.
12:49 9.
12:51 Eruption of the Calbuco Volcano in Chile
12:55 Believe it or not, these were the beautiful, destructive scenes of the eruption of the
12:59 Calbuco Volcano in Chile.
13:01 How can something so devastating look so heavenly?
13:04 It beats me.
13:05 Although this isn't a tourist spot, not that you'd want to visit anyway.
13:10 The Calbuco erupted for the first time since 1972 in 2015, vigorously spewing ash and pumice
13:17 for at least 90 minutes before the lava flow was observed from the main vent.
13:22 Luckily the surrounding villages were evacuated in time and all nearly 2,000 people were reported
13:28 to be unharmed.
13:29 However, the ash rose at least 15 kilometers above the volcano.
13:33 Pretty amazing.
13:36 8.
13:38 Oae, Greece
13:44 Arguably one of the most photographed towns in Greece, Oae is a beautiful town located
13:48 on the northeastern tip of the island of Santorini.
13:51 The small town has beautiful white houses perched on a cliff.
13:55 Nothing beats the sunset views of this town.
13:57 The sunset view is one thing.
13:59 Oae also offers some fascinating views of the Tirasia Island, the Palaia Volcano and
14:05 the Nea Kamini.
14:07 The town is famed for its white-walled stone houses.
14:10 Better watch where you put your hands.
14:12 Then there's the blue-domed monastery, which has become a symbol of small-town Greece.
14:17 The town may be small, but be sure to take your walking shoes if you visit.
14:21 You'd have to tackle a flight of 300 stairs before reaching it from the harbor.
14:26 With such beautiful scenery, I wouldn't mind taking 500 more steps.
14:31 Easier said than done.
14:32 I know.
14:34 7.
14:37 Door to Hell
14:41 Having a fire burning non-stop for 44 years is definitely a sight to behold.
14:46 And if that fire is burning inside a crater that's 20 meters deep and the size of an
14:50 American football field, it sure as heck is one of the places you've got to see on Earth.
14:55 The Door to Hell is the name given to a massive, natural gas-filled crater with continuously
15:00 burning fire.
15:02 But its real name, the Derwiz Crater, because it's located in Derwiz, Ahal Province, Turkmenistan.
15:08 But how did a crater manage to sustain fire for over 40 years and how come no one has
15:13 tried putting out the fire?
15:15 Well, the crater was said to have been formed incidentally by some Soviet engineers when
15:20 they thought it would be a source of oil for the world.
15:23 Oh, how wrong they were.
15:25 Unfortunately, after digging the place, they only found a poisonous gas instead of oil.
15:30 So rather than allowing the gas to travel to nearby villages, they decided to light
15:35 it up and it's been ablaze ever since, although they only estimated it would burn for two
15:40 weeks.
15:41 Being a fiery hole and all, Canadian explorer George Kourinas took it upon himself to be
15:46 the first person to set foot at the bottom of the crater.
15:50 Who does he think he is?
15:51 A firebender?
15:53 But now the president has ordered for the fire to be quelled and the hole to be sealed
15:57 to make room for more drilling sites.
15:59 This is one place to give a glimpse of what hell would look like.
16:02 But on the bright side, it makes for an excellent campsite, especially for the crater's stunning
16:07 effect at night.
16:10 6.
16:12 Victoria Falls
16:17 Also known as the Devil's Pool or the Smoke that Thunders by locals, Victoria Falls is
16:22 Africa's version of Niagara Falls.
16:26 It's located on the Zambezi River that forms a part of the border between Zimbabwe and
16:32 Zambia.
16:33 The waterfall is over 1,708 meters wide and 108 meters high.
16:38 It's one of the biggest waterfalls in the world and one of the most beautiful places
16:42 you could visit.
16:44 At its peak, an incredible 500 million liters of water crashes down the falls every minute,
16:49 creating a thunderous roar that can be heard 40 kilometers away.
16:53 The resulting spray usually rises 400 meters above the falls and causes a permanent cloud
16:58 of smoke.
16:59 So you get where all the smoke that thunders is coming from.
17:04 5.
17:05 Canola Flower Fields, Luoping, China
17:10 Yellow is a bright, alluring color that breathes life into all that comes across.
17:15 If you're a big fan of yellow, then this is one spot you'll have to visit.
17:19 Luoping County in the area of Yunnan, China is usually quiet for most of the year, until
17:25 the canola blooms.
17:26 The fields are grown to produce cooking oil from the canola seeds, also known as rapeseed.
17:32 Come March, these fields are the favorite spot of bees, tourists, and photographers.
17:36 So the best time to visit is between February and March when the flowers are blooming.
17:41 Also at the beginning of the canola season, an annual festival is held to celebrate the
17:45 flowers, so you could attend that as well.
17:49 4.
17:51 Machu Picchu, Peru
17:56 When a place rhymes with picture, you can almost bet it will always give breathtaking
18:00 images every time.
18:02 Not just that, it also plays an important role in human history by being one of the
18:06 "historic sites."
18:08 The citadel was built sometime around the 1480s and was abandoned during the Spanish
18:13 conquest of Peru.
18:15 It is located on the northeast of Cusco, Peru and offers insight into the Inca people's
18:20 heritage.
18:21 To get to Machu Picchu, you'll need to climb a 2,430-meter-high mountain.
18:26 Reaching the summit of the site is on the bucket list of several people for good reason.
18:31 It gives you the feeling of finding a lost city, bringing out the Indiana Jones in you.
18:37 3.
18:39 Mount Fuji
18:44 Being Japan's most visited tourist attraction with over 300,000 visitors yearly, Mount Fuji
18:49 is truly one after the hearts of many outdoor explorers.
18:53 To think, the mountain can only be accessed for only two months in a year, shows how sought
18:58 after this mountain is.
18:59 Who wouldn't want to visit a mountain incredibly made up of three separate volcanoes?
19:04 There's Komatek at the bottom, Kofuji in the middle, and Fuji right on top.
19:09 Did I also mention the mountain is an active volcano?
19:12 Oops, but don't worry about that.
19:15 The volcano hasn't erupted since 1707 when it erupted for two weeks.
19:20 That aside, the mountain trails offer an unrivaled view of the surrounding five lakes.
19:25 It plays a significant role in Japan's cultural and spiritual geography.
19:29 It also offers some hot springs, ideal for easing the aches and pains you might have
19:33 after a long day's climbing.
19:37 2.
19:39 Old Bagan, Myanmar
19:44 Here's another place you have to see to believe.
19:46 Located in Myanmar's Mandalay region, Old Bagan was the capital of Pagan Kingdom.
19:52 During its time and the peak of the city's dominance, more than 4,400 Buddhist temples,
19:57 pagodas, and monasteries were built on these plains.
20:01 To date, the ruins of over 3,800 of those structures populate the area, and you can
20:06 explore many of them on foot.
20:08 Or you could opt for a hot balloon ride to get an aerial view of the magnificence of
20:12 this place.
20:13 It's one of those truly unbelievable places that will leave you breathless.
20:19 The world's filled with so many waterfalls.
20:22 Check out the one sent to us by a subscriber.
20:25 This is undoubtedly one of nature's wonders, just as these other waterfalls.
20:29 But as you can see, it's a compilation of waterfalls, and we couldn't determine if it
20:33 were real or fake after we did some digging.
20:36 Let's have a look.
20:37 Our number one, although it looks very dreamy, is 100% real.
20:42 1.
20:44 Panjen Red Beach, China
20:48 We've explored just about the most jaw-dropping spots, from black beaches to ancient cities
20:53 to technologically advanced structures.
20:55 Hope you've got some awe left for just one more.
20:58 Next we got a beach that isn't covered with sand.
21:01 Strange.
21:02 I'll explain.
21:04 The Panjen Red Beach is not like other beaches.
21:07 Instead of being covered with sand, the beach is red thanks to a plant that causes the redness,
21:13 if I can call it that.
21:14 The suweta salsa, or seepweed, the beach itself is located within the biggest wetland and
21:19 reed marsh in the world, in Liaoning province.
21:23 Although the beach is closed to the public, to preserve a small portion of it is used
21:27 as a tourist attraction center.
21:29 Alright, comment down below which of these beautiful places is your favorite and which
21:34 you'd love to visit, if you haven't already.
