00:00 Everyone loves the idea of flying, which is why birds are some of the most majestic and
00:04 exciting animals in the world.
00:06 A large variety of birds pique the interest of wildlife photographers.
00:10 However, the most interesting are the largest ones.
00:13 From giant birds able to run as fast as a car to powerful birds able to pick up a child.
00:18 Today, the Forever Green team has you covered with this list of the enormous birds caught
00:23 on camera.
00:24 But before we get into the video, make sure you subscribe to the channel so we can continue
00:28 providing you with fantastic videos full of incredible sights to behold.
00:34 Kicking off this list we have the mighty eagle.
00:37 Eagles come in various shapes and sizes.
00:39 However, they are commonly recognized as one of the most deadly birds of prey.
00:43 Eagles have a potential wingspan of over 2 meters and can live up to 30 years old.
00:48 In this video, we can see a wildlife photographer catch some incredible footage of a mighty
00:52 eagle as it poses for the camera.
00:55 The eagle is truly a sight beyond.
00:57 It's no wonder it's one of the most popular birds in the world.
01:00 Here we have the vulture, popularized in the media as a bird that circles animals or humans
01:06 about to die.
01:07 Thankfully, in this video, no one is about to die as the vulture spreads his enormous
01:12 wings and puts on a show for the crowd.
01:15 Vultures typically have a wingspan of 1.5 meters and are known to live to around 30
01:19 years old.
01:21 Vultures are also known as scavengers as they commonly pick at the dead carcasses of animals
01:25 in the wild.
01:26 There are 16 species of vultures, and each one is as creepy as the last.
01:32 Okay, so not all birds can look as majestic as an eagle, which is especially true when
01:37 we look at the shoebill.
01:39 A shoebill, also known as a white-headed stork, is a large bird found in the Dallas area in
01:44 the United States.
01:45 A shoebill can grow to over 5 kilograms and be expected to live to around 36 years old.
01:52 In this video, we can see a person creeping up to his pet shoebill that he has named Sushi.
01:57 The man loves his shoebill so much that he even has a tattoo on his leg.
02:01 True love does exist.
02:03 In this video, we have what is known as a black vulture, another species of the vulture
02:09 family.
02:10 However, in this video, the vulture is brave and has ventured into proximity to humans.
02:15 Unfortunately, the humans are keen to hold the vulture's hand to be friends with it.
02:19 However, I get the feeling this vulture doesn't want to be friends with all the humans at
02:24 all as it tries to get away.
02:26 These vultures are typically found in the North and South American continents, so it's
02:30 unusual to see their kind in India.
02:32 Maybe the bird was trying to get some time away from his family.
02:36 The Andean condor, commonly recognized as the giant cathartid vulture, is a massive
02:41 bird that strikes fear into people's hearts whenever it flies over them.
02:45 This large bird has a wingspan of over 3 meters and can weigh up to 15 kilograms.
02:50 The bird is commonly characterized by its large, bushy feathers that are used to keep
02:55 the bird warm in harsh temperatures in the mountains.
02:58 In this video, an Andean condor usually walks down the path as it spreads its massive wings
03:03 for the onlookers.
03:04 Thankfully, the condor seems utterly uninterested in the people.
03:08 I would hide my kids though.
03:11 Ostriches are some of the world's largest non-flight birds.
03:14 They typically grow to over 2.5 meters tall and can run up to 70 kilometers per hour.
03:20 They're characterized by their extremely long legs, long neck, and bushy body.
03:25 You might not expect this bird to be able to run so fast, but as we can see in the video,
03:30 this isn't the case at all.
03:32 As the video begins, we're immediately thrown into a high-speed race between the ostrich
03:37 and two individuals on motorbikes.
03:40 Despite the motorbikes going full speed, the ostrich is perfectly fine keeping up.
03:44 A testament to how fast these birds are.
03:48 In this video, we can see a pack of large white-backed vultures.
03:54 The white-backed vulture is one of the old world family, meaning its species have been
03:58 around for a long time.
04:00 The white-backed vulture can weigh up to 6 kilograms and has been known to stay in groups
04:04 for safety.
04:06 These powerful birds can be found all across Africa but are typically found in Mauritania,
04:10 Sudan, Ethiopia, and South Africa.
04:14 The vultures in this video are gathered around what seems to be a dead animal carcass.
04:19 One of the vultures even spreads its wings to hide what's happening.
04:22 How rude!
04:24 Vultures are some of the most diverse birds on the planet.
04:27 One of the most interesting, however, is the griffon vulture, commonly found in warm climates
04:32 such as northern Africa and South America.
04:35 The griffon vulture is frequently mistaken for Ruppel's griffon vulture.
04:39 However, its unique features around the neck are what sets it apart.
04:42 In this video, we can see a man in a car on his way to capture some pictures of a griffon
04:48 vulture.
04:49 When he finds one, he takes some fantastic footage of the bird.
04:52 I hope my photos come out this good.
04:55 Here we have what is known as a sea eagle.
04:58 Sea eagles are part of the eagle family and can often be found near the ocean, looking
05:02 for unsuspecting fish to snatch up and eat.
05:05 The sea eagle can live to around 30 years old and regarded as one of the world's largest
05:09 and most powerful birds of prey.
05:11 In this video, the sea eagle is perched on the branch as he smiles at the camera.
05:15 The eagle slowly wobbles across the branches while squawking at the cameraman.
05:19 The eagle must be one of the most dangerous, but it sure does look friendly in this video.
05:25 This bird is called a steep eagle and is another species of the eagle family.
05:29 The steep eagle has an average weight of around 3 kilograms and typically ages about 25 years
05:35 before dying.
05:36 These birds are characterized by their seven feather fingers at the tip of their wing.
05:41 In this video, we can see a man holding the steep eagle as it peacefully sits on his arm.
05:45 Thankfully, these types of eagles are known to be excellent pets and very rarely harm
05:50 humans unless otherwise provoked.
05:52 The man seems completely fine with the bird on his arm, which is insane as I would be
05:57 terrified.
05:58 Yikes!
05:59 The Grey Heron
06:00 The Grey Heron, commonly known as the British Heron, is a long-legged bird widely found
06:05 across Europe and Asia.
06:06 The bird is characterized by its long legs, neck, and orange beak.
06:11 The Grey Heron has a wingspan of 2 meters, weighs 2 kilograms, and can grow to a height
06:15 of over 1 meter.
06:17 These birds are pretty friendly, however, they scare easily when anyone gets close to
06:21 them.
06:22 In this video, we can see a Grey Heron casually minding his business as the person takes some
06:27 high-quality videos of him.
06:29 Here we have another Andean Condor that is happy to show off his flying capabilities.
06:35 As the video begins, we can see that the condor is flying towards the cameraman in the distance.
06:40 The bird then lands on the ground before perching onto a wooden stump.
06:44 As previously mentioned, Andean Condors are commonly referred to as the largest flying
06:49 bird in the world, and they are so often a sight to behold for locals and tourists alike.
06:55 Typically, the Andean Condor can be found in the Andes, a mountain range on the South
06:59 American continent.
07:00 I hope I one day get to see one of these birds in person!
07:04 Much like the Vulture, the Eagle has various species within its family.
07:08 Another beautiful eagle is known as the Golden Eagle.
07:11 The Golden Eagle is commonly recognized for the golden coloring in its feathers.
07:15 This bird is widely seen in Europe and Asia, and is in fact one of the most frequently
07:19 recognized birds of prey on the planet.
07:21 The Golden Eagle has an average wingspan of 2 meters and will grow to around 6 kilograms.
07:27 Interestingly, the females are often much larger and heavier than the males.
07:33 Some wildlife videographers will do everything they can to get the best picture.
07:37 In this video, we can see a man completely kitted out in a camouflage suit, all of this
07:42 to capture some footage of the mighty Black Eagle, something we can't blame him for.
07:47 The Black Eagle is one of the most beautiful and giant birds on this list and is commonly
07:52 found over dense forests in Southeast Asia and Southern China.
07:56 These birds not only hunt insects, but have also been known to hunt small mammals, other
08:00 birds and even small children.
08:03 The Long-Tailed Parakeet is one of the cutest birds I've ever seen.
08:08 This bird often found in Malaysia and the Indonesian archipelago.
08:12 The bird is relatively small, however, the tail can grow to a high length as it matures.
08:18 In this video, we can see the person take a video of the Long-Tailed Parakeet as it
08:22 usually sits in the tree, thinking about its day.
08:26 Small birds like this feed on berries and insects, posing a minimal threat to humans
08:30 and animals.
08:31 We recommend not getting close, as the tail could poke someone's eye out.
08:37 And only to the mighty Ostrich, here we can see another huge emu casually exploring the
08:42 surrounding area.
08:44 The camera person is watching the emu with awe as it searches for food, insects and various
08:49 other types of food.
08:51 Contrary to popular belief, emus are not dangerous and won't attack you, unless provoked.
08:58 Most of the time, they are just as frightened of you as you are of them.
09:01 That being said, their beady little red eyes can often be mistaken for something out of
09:05 an alien or horror movie, so I wouldn't blame you if you tried to keep your distance
09:09 from one of these birds.
09:11 If you're still watching this video, please consider liking and subscribing so that we
09:16 can continue providing you with excellent YouTube content.
09:19 I also wanted to take this opportunity to give you a riddle.
09:23 How does a bird with a broken wing manage to land safely?
09:27 Stick around until the end to get the answer.
09:29 Now let's get back to the video.
09:32 Peacocks are some of the most beautiful animals in the world.
09:35 Their unique blend of colors and features was once necessary for surviving in the wild
09:40 and attracting mates.
09:41 However, today they are seen as beautiful patterns.
09:45 Peacocks are found all over the world and are commonly 1 meter tall and weigh 6 kilograms.
09:50 In this video, however, we can see an extremely rare white peacock.
09:54 As the cameraman walks up to the bird, it stands majestically, ready to take its picture.
10:00 The colored peacocks are beautiful, but this white variation is unique.
10:05 A symbol of the American dream and culture, we've found the famous bald eagle.
10:09 The bald eagle is one of the most recognized birds on the planet and is the national animal
10:14 of the United States of America.
10:16 The bald eagle has an average wingspan of 2 meters and regularly lives to around 25
10:21 to 30 years old.
10:23 The eagle is characterized by its brown body, white tail, and white head.
10:27 In this video, we can see a bald eagle minding his own business on the beach.
10:31 The videographer can capture some remarkable footage as the eagle looks around, scoping
10:36 out the area in search of food.
10:39 Here we have a friendly macaw taking a pair of its eggs and looking after it.
10:44 Birds are typically quite territorial and wouldn't do something like this.
10:47 However, the macaw has been raised right and is more than happy to help someone in need.
10:52 As always, animals are constantly offering us a lesson to be kind to one another.
10:57 It's hard to tell what bird this is, but it's clear that it's one of the enormous birds
11:02 caught on camera.
11:03 The bird appears to be part of the vulture family based on its massive wingspan and long
11:07 protruding neck.
11:09 As the video begins, we see a large crowd gathering with their phones and cameras.
11:13 Eventually, the giant bird perches on the cliff's edge, where it starts to give the
11:17 public a show.
11:18 The bird does all kinds of tricks, which has the crowd going crazy.
11:22 Unfortunately, very few people are willing to enjoy the moment with their own eyes as
11:27 everyone's face is buried in their phone or camera.
11:30 How sad.
11:31 Most of the time, we're subject to seeing birds on land.
11:34 However, sometimes we're lucky enough to catch a glimpse of these incredible animals while
11:38 soaring in the skies.
11:40 This video is truly one of a kind as it shows a majestic eagle soaring through the skies
11:46 with its owner flying behind him in a paraglider.
11:49 The two are perfectly content flying side by side, making this video all the more astonishing.
11:54 The giant bird in question is a crow, which is commonly found worldwide but most often
11:59 in Asia.
12:00 Typically, crows are not as large as the one in this video.
12:03 Crows are usually around 2 kilograms in weight and with a wingspan of 100-150 centimeters.
12:10 Crows are also capable of living up to 15 years old, making them excellent pets.
12:15 I can only imagine what it would be like soaring in the skies with my pet bird.
12:19 How amazing!
12:21 Birds typically appear as friendly little creatures that are great to have as pets but
12:25 they are perfectly capable of defending themselves in a fight.
12:29 In this video, we can see a wide variation of the steep eagle fighting off a cobra.
12:33 The snake continually advances towards the eagle.
12:36 However, instead of backing down, the bird frequently strikes the snake with its beak
12:41 and talons.
12:42 While it's not common for a bird to attack a snake, it does happen from time to time
12:46 if the bird is ravenous.
12:48 The battle goes on for quite some time until the bird is finally able to kill the snake.
12:54 The bird is the player with the snake, picking at it and stomping it on the ground with its
12:58 feet.
12:59 This is a reminder that while birds might look friendly, they are perfectly capable
13:03 of defending themselves.
13:05 Similar to the eagle and vulture, parrots comprise 400 species within their genome.
13:11 They're often found in tropical and subtropical regions such as Southeast Asia and Central
13:15 America.
13:16 However, they have been known to venture as far as Europe.
13:20 Parrots are some of the longest-living birds on the planet as they can reach an age of
13:23 over 60 years old.
13:26 There have been stories of parrots outliving their own, which is an extraordinary fact.
13:30 In this video, we can see a vast blue parrot having fun with its owner.
13:35 Many people have found similarities between this bird and the character Blue from the
13:39 famous movie Rio.
13:41 Regardless, this parrot is massive and a valid symbol of the beauty of their species.
13:47 Eagles are excellent and owls are fantastic, but did you know that there is a cross between
13:51 the two?
13:52 The animal is called a Eurasian eagle owl and is one of the most extraordinary birds
13:56 on this list.
13:58 The Eurasian eagle owl is a hybrid species commonly found in Europe.
14:02 This bird is around 3 kilograms in weight and 75 centimeters in height.
14:06 This owl species is the largest in the world and has tubular eyes that help it see in the
14:11 dark.
14:12 In this video, we can see a man holding this owl on his arm while explaining specific characteristics
14:18 of its appearance.
14:19 If I were a wizard in Harry Potter, I would want this type of owl.
14:22 There's no doubt about that.
14:25 Closing off this list, we have another video of the world's giant birds, the ostrich.
14:30 In this video, the woman explains what to do if an ostrich attacks her.
14:34 She shows that the ostrich will be less likely to advance if you hold its neck.
14:38 This is important, as when an ostrich strikes you, you should never run.
14:42 They are much less likely to attack you if you face them down.
14:46 They can also run at 70 kilometers per hour, so you will never outrun the giant bird.
14:52 And there we have it, a complete list of the enormous birds ever caught on camera.
14:56 Every moment on this list is incredible, but so is every one of our subscribers.
15:00 Let us know in the comment section below what birds you found the most surprising, as we
15:04 would love to hear your opinions.
15:06 Check out our other videos on the biggest animals ever captured on camera.
15:11 If you enjoyed the video, please consider liking and subscribing.
15:14 But before we go, were you able to figure out how a bird with a broken wing manages
15:19 to land safely?
15:20 Of course, it's with a sparrow shoot.
15:23 Thanks for watching!
15:24 We hope to see you again soon.
