TESDA Region 10, Daikin to establish 1st HVAC training center

00:00 TESDA Region 10 and its private partner have paved the way for vocational learners to receive

00:05 proper training and be more employable in the industry of heating, ventilation, and

00:17 In response to the growing demands of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning industry,

00:22 the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, through its regional training center

00:26 Guluan, partners with Daikin Industries Philippines to establish the first HVAC training center

00:31 in Region 10.

00:32 Through this initiative, we are bringing the country with the theory and practice, ensuring

00:37 that our graduates possess not only theoretical knowledge, but also practical skills that

00:43 are relevant and up-to-date.

00:44 With the establishment of this TESDA Daikin training facility, we have taken a giant leap

00:53 forward in ensuring that our skilled workers are equipped with the latest techniques and

01:00 technologies in HVAC system.

01:03 The 720 hours of training aims to teach learners nine common competencies and four core competencies

01:08 in terms of HVAC system.

01:10 After completion of the course, they will be qualified as commercial air conditioning

01:14 unit installer, maintenance technician, and service technicians.

01:19 It will also qualify as commercial air conditioning installation and servicing national certificate

01:23 tree holders.

01:24 We are able to partner together with TESDA to further improve the local skill sets.

01:30 Daikin, from our side, we have all the knowledge of how to install air conditioning to the

01:36 best of their abilities.

01:37 So, together with TESDA, they also have the same mindset.

01:38 So, together, I believe we form a very strong group to promote Filipinos' skill sets, to

01:39 basically upskill Filipinos' skill sets in this area.

01:40 With the establishment of the training center, TESDA and Daikin seek to empower learners

01:53 with essential skills and knowledge in HVAC that can open new doors of opportunities heading

01:58 towards a brighter and more prosperous future.
