00:00 Whenever anyone asks for the most interesting player I've ever written about, Von Miller
00:05 instantly comes to mind.
00:07 I like to tell them that his brain is the most fascinating space in sports.
00:12 Over the years I've ridden on a golf cart with him after Super Bowl 50, tagged along
00:16 to business meetings, autograph signings, recovery sessions, foundation events, and
00:22 dancing with the stars practices, while visiting him in Denver, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas.
00:29 But our most interesting visit took place recently, at his Pass Rush Summit, where Miller
00:34 discussed his plan to tie everything from his life together.
00:38 To do that he chose a broad umbrella, legacy, and all that his entails.
00:44 For Miller that means on the field, as one of his generation's best sack artists.
00:49 It means mentorship and brotherhood, hence the annual summits.
00:53 It means fatherhood, being there for his two young children.
00:57 It means putting any past off-field issues behind him.
01:01 And it means considering his future, which has begun to crystallize into focus.
01:06 Because Miller wants to stay in football, wants to become an executive, even, one day,
01:12 an NFL GM.
01:14 As a long-time observer of Miller, this signaled to me the best kind of growth, and showed
01:18 Miller's continued evolution from a great player, one of the best players, to even more.
