00:00 No diving in Saint-Victor-sur-Loire since July 7th.
00:04 On July 25th, the prefect of the Loire decided that all activities
00:08 that could lead to an immersion in the water should be prohibited.
00:11 This is due to the latest ARS results, which show an excessive level of toxins
00:16 which presents a risk to health in case of water ingestion.
00:19 But this stop again allows sailing on the Saint-Victor-sur-Loire nautical base.
00:23 It is therefore possible to come for a kayak or sailboat,
00:27 even if some people feel that they cannot fully enjoy
00:30 this Saint-Victor-sur-Loire nautical base.
00:32 It is true that we often see this problem.
00:35 Apparently, it was said that this morning,
00:38 it was gone for the whole season.
00:40 So it's a bit of a shame.
00:42 You go to Villeray, it's the same.
00:44 You go to Saint-Bonnet-le-Château, it's the same.
00:45 You go to Rouen, it's the same.
00:46 We wonder if it was not intended.
00:48 It is regular and recurrent from July, mid-July.
00:52 At the beginning of July, we have regular stoppages of swimming.
00:56 It seems this year that it is even more serious
00:58 because I have never seen areas so green in previous years.
01:02 So, the younger we bathe, at our age, we look at the water.
01:08 We can bathe all the time.
01:10 And among those most affected by these stoppages of swimming,
01:13 the merchants of the Saint-Victor-sur-Loire nautical base.
01:16 Each year, the period from June to August is supposed to be the most important,
01:20 even if too often slowed down by these health measures.
01:23 We are not disabled because we work anyway.
01:26 People come, they come for a walk, they come for an ice cream,
01:29 drink a shot.
01:31 There is no problem at this level.
01:33 It's just the beach and the swimming that really impact the thing.
01:39 But there are still a lot of people on Saint-Victor.
01:42 In my opinion, there are even a little too many at times.
01:45 The analysis of the ARS concerns only the swimming pool,
01:48 which is about 100 meters.
01:50 The nautical base will take care of the additional analyses
01:53 on the entire water level of 23 km.
01:56 Today, we are already adapting activities so that there is no more or less contact with water.
02:01 So we know how to do that.
02:03 But what we expect as an evolution, of course,
02:05 is a solution of water treatment or treatment of nutrients
02:10 that arrive in the water and bring these cyanobacteria.
02:13 The bacteria present in the water can cause irritation, nausea
02:17 or paralysis of the muscles and the respiratory system.
02:20 To follow the evolution of water contamination,
02:23 samples will be taken every week.
