00:00 You can go days without food, traverse unimaginable distances, endure relentless blizzards.
00:17 But if you're a wolf on the edge of the Arctic, up against the biggest predator, there's
00:24 one thing you can't do without.
00:27 The pack.
00:29 In the frozen wilderness of the Arctic, a mother polar bear was doing all she could
00:34 to keep her two young cubs safe.
00:38 The winter had been particularly harsh, and food was scarce.
00:44 She had a feeling that danger was lurking nearby.
00:48 And she was right.
00:50 As the mother bear was out hunting for food, she caught the scent of wolves.
00:56 She knew that wolves were notorious for preying on polar bear cubs.
01:01 And she knew that she had to act fast.
01:04 With a fierce growl, the mother bear charged out of the cave and confronted the wolves
01:10 head on.
01:12 She was larger and stronger than they were, and she used her size and strength to her
01:18 advantage.
01:21 The wolves were taken aback by the sudden attack, and they retreated in fear.
01:28 The mother bear chased after them, snarling and snapping, until they were out of sight.
01:37 But terror will not fill their tummies today.
01:40 They must congregate in large numbers.
01:50 This time, the brown bear's hunting smell attracts wolves from all sides.
02:01 Their teeth bared and their eyes glowing with hunger.
02:10 The bear knew that he had to act fast.
02:12 He growled and roared, trying to intimidate the wolves and protect his prey.
02:25 He fought back with all his might, using his size and strength to fend off the wolves.
02:37 In the end, the bear emerged victorious.
02:40 He claimed the meal as his own and feasted on it in peace, while the wolves watched from
02:50 a safe distance, disappointed and defeated.
